If you are looking for a Porsche 914 this barn fresh example is listed here on craigslist in Danville, Vermont and the seller is entertaining offers! Perhaps this one can be picked up cheaply enough to make it worth restoring?
These are the only images provided. As usual it was a “running driving car” when it was put into the barn. There isn’t much information given in the listing. This car is being listed by a friend of the owner. The VIN is 4712916120. If interested you can email the friend and he will put you in contact with the owner. This 914 is ruff but could be restored and/or used as parts car. Do you need an air cooled sports car project?
Cheers,
Robert

I swear that Barn Finds has a creative writing department and is playing a joke on us with listings like this. Good one, Barn Finds…keep ’em coming!
Had one of these back in “my youth”. Basically a VW with a Porsche emblem on it. Even after installing every tweak available at the time, it still was a POC! Got totaled by a Cop running a Stop sign!! Want to guess who somehow ended up getting the ticket, fines, AND charged with the accident?!?! (little hint, it wasn’t the cop) I think they just need to push this one right into the pond in the background. Do everyone a favor!
with the moron selling it
It was known as a POS, then looks like it is one now.
Looks like it spent quite some time under the tarp outside the barn too. may have some parts but should be free to haul it away, with that gone the property would look very nice. (of what you can see) Still I would like to have a nice 914 being an air cooled VW fan.
It would take some serious commitment to get that car running again. I have one from Pennsylvania and the longitudinals were completely rusted out.
However if you enjoy a challenge and like to do sheetmetal work……..you can have a mid-engine Porsche!
I think I would tell the owner to pull it out on the back 40 and park it beside all the other cars that most farmer pull out on the back 40 and let set until they are worm food, or at least tow it to a scrap yard and get paid scrap metal prices, and not spoil the back 40 with this POS.
