Looks like junk, even to a UK buyer. Might make a parts car.
Stick a fork in it. It’s done!
Unfortunately I would say it’s a goner. Not even much good for parts. A shame though.
No chance….even for the Brits….doesn’t even look like any good useable parts left.
God save the Queen! But not sure if God could breath life into this poor car…
even the rust has rust. This is a joke right?
Done. RIP.
Funny, yesterday I watched the Wheeler Dealers episode there they fixed up one of these.
This thing is done for.

Car itself is likely toast. BUT, it looks like the potentially rare rear glass hatch is sitting complete on a shelf behind it. That alone could be worth saving.
That was my thought too.
absolute rubbish! off to the crusher please
Why bother? You could sweep it outside and let a strong gust blow the dust away.
Yard art.
Just needs washed up and a little wax.
probably the engine, tranny, suspension and misc bits are savable for someone’s shop. Worst I’ve ever seen!!
I was looking at the engine trying to figure out what looked wrong. Other than the invasion of the body snatchers. Then I realized that the hood wasn’t up, it was in the down position and almost completely rusted away.
That will probably just buff out. :-)
There was one even worse about a month ago that was moved from its roadside resting place of around 40 years.
A donor shell would be a good start to this baby’s rebuild.
The car is just nicely broken in, and I could rebuild it fairly quick with all those just lightly used parts in the photos. What’s the big deal with all the naysayers that just see rust? I can see usable parts there in the photos? Heck, with a few body panels and a few junkyard parts this restoration would be well along to completion in no time at all IMHO.

Right on brother Robert. Thats the attitude we want !
No the car is toast. It is a heart breaker. Wonder some times why people let things sit so long. Was it a project? The neighbors car? Has to be some story.
The car is not toast and I’m sure if the Canadian guys from Cold War Motors got their hands on it for a cold start mid winter they would get in running in no time at all. Those guys can start anything that’s been sitting around for decades upon decades, no kidding.
Bob
I don’t doubt it, but you have to have a strong reason to take on a project that is this kind of shape.

Having said no to saving the Jensen. I am at about 300 hours in on this project.
I was just being sarcastic about the Jensen, it’s too toasty for moi, and I don’t personally advocate buying rust at any sort of price.

England is really one of the worst climates for storing vehicles in the elements.even the carburetor looks like. It’s decaying!
I remember looking at old farm machinery and vehicles parked out on the land at a friends farm in the prairies of Canada, and picking up a 1920s carburetor and marveling at its condition.
Looking at wrecks in this condition is really amazing looking at all the different types of metals, all in various states of decay, all gone, probably even that glass is delaminating. The UK certainly has a market for spares for Jensen, but most metal is available as new, there is little of value to be found here.
If only it had a Porsche badge it could be saved.
Thats gonna take a lot of work and very deep pockets
When I first glanced the lead photo, I thought there were 2 coffins in the lower right of the shot….that seemed somewhat symbolic for this Interceptor.
(I’m still not sure what the ‘coffins’ really are….?)
The engine looks like it was underwater for years. Water must have been leaking on it for a long time. I agree with Graham, I see what appears to be a coffin or two, I guess everything dies in this place. RIP!!!
Pic shows a tow bar. Never buy a car with a tow bar…
This looks to be done, finished, toast. Sell the rear screen and save the steering wheel.
By gosh it would take a brave rescuer with very deep pockets to tackle the project.
And that engine looks like it needs a tune up.
It looks like something has been gnawing on the steering wheel. I’m not sure I would want to run into it on a dark night. I hope the seller isn’t related to the Baskervilles…
“Well, it’s been ten years and maybe more since I first set eyes on you.
The best years of my life gone by, here I am alone and blue.
Some people cry and some people die by the wicked ways of love;
But I’ll just keep on rollin’ along with the grace from the Lord above.”

How much is it anyway?
My hypothesis is; there was a storm related deposit of humus or mud on the roof of the awning or lean-to and it collapsed on the Jensen bonnet [UK].
The bonnet got crushed by the volume of mud and in turn, it rusted out, releasing mud and more humus into the engine bay, hence the mud pie look!
Yank the 440 and go SBC and it would be a hell of a ride
Looks as if it just come from the “pit of misery” Dilly-Dilly.
“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.”
No kidding, that line just befell upon me when I saw this….
There are some seat parts I could use on my Aston Martin V8. This picture revealed another parts source to me. Thanks Barn Finds!
It’s not in England, it’s in Wales … but it’s had it I’m afraid. A few bits n bobs worth taking away in a bag but that’s about it.
A pertinant observation about being in Cymru Wales.
Never met a bad Welshman.
