The Oldsmobile Cutlass was one of the most popular nameplates of the 1970s and 1980s, and finding one that has survived in original condition is always noteworthy. This 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Classic, listed here on eBay, is being offered with just 15,733 miles showing and believed to be original. Finished in a rare blue-on-blue factory color combination, this final-year G-body coupe has reportedly been garage-kept its entire life and remains highly original.

The seller states that the Cutlass comes from a collector who only drove it sparingly to shows. Routine maintenance was always performed, with oil changes kept up, and more recently the tires and brakes were replaced in 2024. Power comes from the factory 5.0L V8 paired with an automatic transmission, and the seller notes that both the engine and transmission operate as they should with no issues.

According to the listing, the body and paint are in excellent condition, with only a few light blemishes and dings typical of age. The paint retains its shine, and the car still presents well enough to garner attention at shows. The car also retains its original Oldsmobile build sheet, a bonus for collectors who value paperwork and provenance.

Inside, the blue cloth interior is reported to be in exceptional condition, with the sunroof working properly and free of leaks. Everything inside is said to function as it should, and the car offers the classic late-1980s Oldsmobile experience, complete with comfortable seating and simple but effective instrumentation.

With its low mileage, originality, and clean presentation, this Cutlass stands out as a true G-body survivor. These were once among the most common cars on American roads, but today examples like this one—with low miles and original documentation, are becoming increasingly scarce.

Would you preserve this 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Classic exactly as-is, or use it as the basis for a period-correct performance build?

Always a pleasure to see a GM A/G body of that era, having owned an 83 Grand LeMans they were nice cars. Fun math equation here. 2.57 multiplied by the .67 overdrive gear equal 1.71 overall. So at 100 Km/h that puppy is almost at fast idle. No wonder the epa rated the 307 at close to 30 milles to the gallon highway
It’s too nice to not preserve it. Nicely optioned, and I like that it has the gauge package.
Located at Massapequa, NY with a listed price of $19,500, or best offer.
Yup, writer needs to include price and location. And we need underside shots being NY.
Beautiful car, priced at $1.5k more than new. Seems high.
Wasn’t this listed a few weeks ago? It’s still nice regardless………
It was. Maybe the deal fell apart. Beautiful color. I’m all for underside pics.

That is a 307 in this car, not a 305, but it’s not the high output 307 used in some 442s
