Another clean notchback Mustang is available on eBay, this one described as also being a preserved example with a few more deviations from stock condition included. The Fox body coupe features sharp red paint with a gray cloth interior, and equipped with the preferred manual transmission. It is listed here on eBay with bids approaching $18K and the reserve unmet.
The 1993 example has been lowered with H&R lowering springs over the larger Cobra wheels from the LX’s more powerful sibling. I personally love the look, but purists will likely take issue with the wheels. The stock rollers are included, and if it were me, I’d put those back on and keep the dropped suspension while selling the Cobra wheels for some fun money.
Thankfully, the modifications don’t seem to extend to the engine bay where the original 5.0L V8 still resides. Mileage is indicated as being just under 60,000 miles with no obvious accident damage to report and all VIN stickers still in place. This Mustang comes with new tires and all of the removed stock parts that were set aside are included in the sale.
The door storage pockets don’t appear to suffer from the typical Fox body sag, and up-close photos of the dash seem to indicate there are no cracks to be found. The Mustang is located in Indiana but appears far too clean to have ever seen any winter time use. The bids achieved here are a strong indicator that demand for clean, nearly stock Fox bodies is as high as ever.
Very nice 5.0 love the addition of the Cobra wheels.
Now it just needs some Cobra taillights & she would look amazing!
Those wheels actually look better on the LX coupe than they do on a Cobra…beautiful car!
There will always be a strong market for cars with well executed “day two” modifications such as these wheels. Those sort modifications generally won’t effect value since that’s what so many owners would have done. People that are driving prices on later “muscle cars” are often times trying to recapture part of their youth, not many of these cars remained in showroom original for long.
This is a nice looking car, someone took good care of it. Fox body 5.0’s aren’t particularly easy to find in this sort of condition, especially the notchback, the next owner will have done well when compared to buying a rougher car and bringing up to this ones standards.

Love this. But wow…a Fox Body crowding $20k certainly takes me by surprise.
Not saying it’s too expensive, just…surprised. I suppose I’m finally at the age where the cars of my youth are hitting the nostalgia price upswing.
Yup- very nice ride, and I also LOVE the ‘93 Cobra Wheels! It’s nice that there either appear to be OEM, or at least have the correct finish, unlike the chromed aftermarket finish.

I never saw the long term value back then,
Driver’s car only, looks were already dated back then, brakes were limited, handling was okay, but man could they run, the older muscle car crowd were annoyed by the barrage of these at the local strip.
Day two turned into day three, four,….abuse the heck out of that 5 speed power shift it like you hate it…..really a strong following on these.
Now everybody wants to pay big dollars for a stocker, so it goes. Just not feeling the nostalgia yet.
I can remember walking by Hall Ford back when the whole front line was a sea of mustangs, hatchbacks, ragtops and notchbacks, GTs and LXs really miss the old days, Now it seems like ford is tryingto make the mustang look like a fusion, I really think that ford has missed the nark on the front end of the new mustang, just my thoughts oh and also I am big ford fan but their comercials suck. They could learn a lot from Chevy and Dodge about them
