This 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge was originally painted Verdoro Green but is now white with a black interior. The car is a project and is listed for sale here on eBay. It is currently bid to $29,900 with 5 days remaining in the auction. The reserve has not been met. The GTO is located on the West Coast in Grants Pass, Oregon.
The GTO is said to retain its original 400 cubic inch V8 engine. Pontiac offered three engine options in the GTO in 1969 including the base 400 which was rated at 350 horsepower, the Ram Air III 400 cubic inch V8 engine rated at 366 horsepower and the Ram Air IV 400 cubic inch V8 engine rated at 370 horsepower. It is likely that the Ram Air IV engine was underrated since it featured high flow heads, header like exhausts, a high rise aluminum manifold and high lift camshaft. The seller states that this is a Ram Air III 400 cubic inch V8 engine which was included with the Judge option.
The seller includes a number of pictures of the car and its condition including the PHS build sheet. The build sheet indicates that the car was built in October 1969 and included the Judge option for $337. Other options include a vinyl top, automatic transmission, console, power brakes and a safe-t-track rear end. The GTO is said to run and drive but the car needs a complete restoration.
The GTO looks like it has set outside for quite some time. The body does have rust around the wheel wells that will need to be replaced or patched. The floor pan also has rust but the rest of the car is said to be solid. Most of the plastic pieces will need to be replaced during the restoration. The seller has over 175 pictures and videos of the car if you want to contact him.
Saw a restored Judge sell last night on Miccuim auction.(spelled wrong sorry) for under 100K which surprised me. By the time it sells at the reserve price and you did a restoration job I suspect the cost will be north of that 100K figure. Still would be fun project to do.😊
That’s a 1970 BTW.
Yeah not sure who’s lining up for a GTO that needs everything at 30 grand but it ain’t me!
First a build sheet for Oct of 69; the 70s were already on dealers floors. This car is a 70. Front and back and inside. Second only the block will tell you which 400 it is. And beware. Most old ram air blocks are sold. Your looking at a frame off resto. Good luck still it’s a judge.
I’ll wager it gets bought by a resto shop to restore and flip. Parts and labor at wholesale pricing makes it a whole lot more attractive to build.
Not a 69. Either 70 or 71
I don’t see the correct carburetor on that motor, And a judge ram air 3 carb, is like 4000 if you can find it maybe more.
Is a 1969 GTO Judge Ram air 3 carb the same?
No, it’s got a different number on it…and the 4-speed has a different number than an automatic, and California cars had a different numbers too, as did high-altitude cars, etc. etc.
For a 4-speed car maybe, but not an automatic. Still pricy but, not $4K.
Mine was a 4 speed car. Should have the carb laying around some where. We replaced in with an 800 Holley years ago.

It’s a 1970
Yes, a 1970
Times sure have changed. In 1986, I got a perfect, rust free one owner 1970 GTO hardtop needing NOTHING from California for $5,500. Cost me $300 to have shipped to the Philadelphia area. Looked for two years in PA at rusted junk, yes, rusted out junk only 16 years then. One potential seller refused to let me look in the trunk. Finally convinced him and when I opened it, I shut it and walked away. Yeah, I’m old, but these prices are insane.
That is a 70 gto
This is a 70 neighbor had 1 in80s payed like 475 drove it home also was a 4spd car what a deal . I had a 70 Lemans 350 4spd good times
