Potential? 1966 Dodge Charger

front

The 1966 Charger is far from the most popular year of Charger, but many folks really like these. It’s not clear about the state of this car here on craigslist, but if it’s as nice as described, the asking price of $9,000 may not be to unrealistic. They seem to be saying it’s been tuned up, had front end work done and has a new muffler. They claim all it needs is paint and carpet. From what they show, it looks complete and original.

They say this 383 is original. It appears to be an A/C car. It looks a bit messy under the hood, but it does appear unmolested.

1966 Dodge Charger Seat

All they show of the interior is one little part of a seat. If it’s actually in the car, where could it be? It makes one wonder what they are hiding and what the interior really looks like.

right rear

You have to wonder if the seller is using very selective photography to hide things or are they just that bad at writing and taking pictures. It’s difficult to know from the ad what condition this car is in, but it could be nice. It doesn’t even say if it’s an automatic or a 4 speed car. Is that a rust repair on the quarter? What do you think you would find if you saw this in person? What would it be worth if it is decent with little rust? Comments on this one are going to be very interesting.

If I were in the market for a Dodge Charger this is the year of car I’d want. I think these are by far the nicest looking chargers built very classie styling inside and out. The 383 with automatic would suit me fine too. Nice find

There is a nice Red one of these parked at a house —- 4 blocks from work. Wheaton, IL Looks like a runner … but he keeps it covered a lot of the time. I agree also that this is one of the years of a Dodge Charger that I like :)

A little crusty looking for 9k. That rear tail light looks stressed and will be $$$ to find and replace.
