This Camaro was supposedly drivable in 2002. It has been parked since then and now needs an owner who will see the restoration through. This is a Rally Sport car with a 4-barrel 327 V8, so there are worse places to start. It even came from the factory with A/C. The body is a little battered and bruised, but the rust isn’t too bad overall. The original gold and black color scheme could look really good, but I would be tempted to upgrade the front drum brakes to discs and maybe even install a 4-speed while I was at it. As long as the reserve isn’t set much high than the current bid, this could be a good buy. Find it here on eBay where the auction ends tomorrow!
I like this one better than the Mustang previously listed. That is if the motor checks out to be original.
Would love to restore one of these had a friend buy a a new one which we shared in a carpool. didn’t know they offered the bench seat and don’t know how much value that adds to rarety but it sure kills the desireability to me other than if it adds value. just kills the interior without buckets and I ould go back with black interior. a very desireable car however

Has rare bench seat and column shift and deluxe interior . Not sure that increases value but it is un common. Motor looks original at least the oil filler is in the right place. Be a nice one to restore but add a 4 speed automatic transmission. Does not have folding rear seat.

RS, not SS. I did not decode the vin tag but if it were an SS the SS emblems superseded the RS emblems in 67. I believe that was true on Camaros 67-73 for sure. There would be an SS on the grille and fuel cap not an “rs”. there would be an SS on the front fenders, not the rs of which this one has the “r”. I don’t think you could get 67 SS 327, I believe the SS was only a 350 small block or 396 BB. I had a 67 RS SS documented with a 350. SS badges on everything. the Hide Away headlights were ONLY an RS package feature everything else on the car had SS on it. although it did have a “Rally Sport” emblem on the front fenders near the doors if I remember correctly. RS was about “the
look” with the hide away headlights, the deluxe interior the chrome trim package over wheel wells and rockers. the SS was all about performance as was the Z28 about performance.

SS 350 was all that was available in 67′.
I myself, over the years have owned camaros, novas and chevelles, most recently, in 2008 I bought an all original 1967 chevelle, car had no rust or bondo, 283 with an auto, I paid $2000, so my price for a car in this shape would be around $800, today these cars are way over priced because of the idiots that buy them for what people want, furthermore, my son will never know what it’s like to drive a true v8 powered muscle car because the outrageous prices the cars sell for.

I could have bought one in 85′, that was the same colors, and in tip top shape with a turbo 350 for $2500. It was on the showroom floor of a dealer in San Antonio. Bought a 700 Honda nighthawk instead. A lot of our dream cars are getting WAY over priced.
