Those look like good old fashioned cherry bombs underneath.
Sweet! Wrong coast though, thank the gods.
Wow. Nice ride
Either cherry bombs or Thrush pipe
Niiiice, shoebox!
Great car, just about as nice of an example of a ’50 Ford as you’ll find still in original condition. I think the money as pretty daggone fair too!
This is a very nice old Ford! I would ever say that the price is actually a real bargain! Especially if everything is as good as claimed!
Unfortunately for Jordan, this car is an object lesson for the denial crowd who refuse to accept that this slice of the hobby is in gradual decline. Here we have a car that is pretty well photographed for key points of importance, a much better than average/typical description (with the exception of the meaningless term “solid”), and it’s a very presentable car by appearances. Weaknesses are probably the upholstery and, for some, a location that could have a sizeable impact on transport costs. Last night ebay sent out an alert that the asking price has been dropped to $9999, smart move as that’s more in line with where market price appears to be. Such is the plight of someone who’s actually living the reality of the day.
Sale at $8900, congrats to Jordan, and now all can see where the market appears to be for a decent one of these.
My 1951 ford Business coupe ‘s radio would work for a few minutes if I happen to be driving in an area where electrical transmission lines crossed over the highway!
I still have a warm spot in my heart for these. My first car, purchased with my savings, at age 12. One hundred bucks ! Mine was a sun-faded “Sea Foam Green”, with tan cloth interior. Flathead V8, 3 on tree, just like this one. My mechnically inclined Dad showed me how to work on it, and I basically rebuilt the entire drivetrain, including brakes. Took months, but we had the place to do it and parts were cheap, as many “junk yards” still existed then. Dad even showed me how to grind or put in new contacts in the starter. Labor of love. Wish I had it now !
