It’s rare to find a car in the desert that not only runs and drives but has working AC! Well, this Dodge Polara was pulled from the Arizona desert and put back on the road. Everything from the 383 V8 to the AC works, so this should prove to be a fun driver! If you’re interested in making it yours, be sure to check out Frank C’s auction via the link below.

Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Mileage: 133,000
Title Status: Clean
VIN: DL23G8D190985

Seller’s Description: It looks a bit rough, but it’s a great driving car. When I initially saw it I thought this must be a desert rat. Most of the time desert rat cars probably aren’t even legal to drive. Then I drove it. Everything works. It performs very well. The AC is amazing. Its no longer a barn find, but if you go to my picture link you will see it was a yard find.

Body Condition: Rough, but dry and rust free

Mechanical Condition: Very good old school hot rod. Rebuilt great running 383. Rebuilt transmission, power disk brake conversion, lowered suspension with new front end parts and sway bars.

Auction Listing: Here on eBay

These big Dodges might not offer the kind of performance of their smaller B-Body siblings, but they can be surprisingly quick with the right engine and they sure look sleek. Plus, you just can’t beat the comfort of a big cruiser like this!

Love these old Polaras, they have an arrogance about them. The look angry and mean, ready to take a bite out of a Prius or Fit. This could be a really nice car.

This is nice, but there is something about the 1965 and 66 models I like better.

The only thing that would make this car look better is if it was a wagon.

The stance and the rims are spot on. Interior is very nice, but I would go with a stock steering wheel – just personal preference.

Looks like a LOT of work has been done. Next owner has the fun job of personalizing this ride.

    GLWTS.

I’m selling the car for the owner. I walked up on it the first time and thought it was cool but really was not getting it. Then I starting the pics. All over the car I saw the originality , and the well thought out upgrades. Then we went for a ride. It’s amazing . Fast, handles well, just really amazing. I’m glad you guys agree.

This big Dodge looks like a great project car. The 383 will haul this car around with authority.

My dad had one of these boats. Dark green with a black vinyl top. He wanted a 4dr and we begged and pleaded for a 2dr. We won !

jr… nie car. But, I believe you E-bay ad is a little misleading. It says the only rust is underside. The right side pic shows a lot of rust on the top. Hmmm…

      Hello Patrick,
I think what you are looking at is the surface rust associated with a car that has no paint, and no clear coat over the “patina” like many have. This scale scrubs off with a light wire brush. Underneath is clean Steele. I was referring to real rust which has holes. This type of rust is evident in the trunk. Thanks for looking.
