Rust Included: 1936 Ford Model 68

1936 Ford Model 68

This 1936 Ford is listed on craigslist is in Gold Hill, Oregon. It is said to be completely original, even down to the tires, numbers matching and with only 6,364 miles. The $9,800 asking seems rather high. The seller says the floors are in good shape. It would be interesting to know what the seller is basing his claims and price off of.

They also claim it runs and drives, although I wouldn’t want to drive it on the original tires. There is a fender missing and there are no pictures of the interior, so we assume there isn’t much of one left. The engine actually appears unmolested and in decent shape. You can’t really tell much by these pictures, but what do you think it might actually be worth? Do you think there’s any chance the next owner will keep it as is?

this one sends the skeptic-o-meter all the way over to max.
the description gives very minimal information (is current owner a flipper ?).
it must have been left outdoors for a LONG time to look this rough if the mileage is for real.
clearly not a car one should buy without a detailed inspection and some good answers to many questions……..

Neat old car-inspect it and reach your own conclusions…the only way that low-mileage would make any difference is if you totally restore it, and even then, his price is too high….

It looks to me he is basing his facts on fantasy! Way too much for a 4 door. Who cares if everything is original if everything needs replacing to be functional? Where is the rear fender on this great old car?

And yet another seller comes out of the woods looking for top dollar with a minimal ad. This car could be a diamond in the rough, but the few pictures provided just show a rust bucket.
