Still In The Barn: 1946 Dodge Tudor

'46 Dodge

About 75,000 Dodge Deluxe Tudor Sedans were produced in 1946. We don’t know how many are sitting in barns other then this one, which is listed here on craigslist in a barn in Belleville, Missouri with an asking price of $1,995 OBO. You can’t get any more barn fresh than this!

The owner says the car was found in a barn and is still in a barn. We don’t know how many barns this car has been parked in over the years.

This car is supposed to be “pretty much whole.”  The engine and transmission have been removed from the car, but not from this barn. The owner was told they both worked. There are no images of the “running” engine or transmission. They think the engine is an A-6 102hp flat-head.

The bumpers are also off and said to be in the barn. Depending on what all is missing, this one might end up being customized or rodded. While we would love to see it restored, what’s important is that it gets back on the road!

There is “very little rust and no rust out” according to the seller. We don’t know if the interior of the car is also sitting somewhere in the barn, as well as the missing trim, but we hope it is. Some would say it’s in a pre-hot rod stage of life and needs finishing. So what stage are you in?

Motor-on,
Robert

Certainly enough pieces missing. Headlights, tail lights, bumpers, trunk latch, etc.

CTC auto ranch in TX. Has a bunch of these, so if anything is missing they probably have it. Nice old car similar to my 51 dodge Mayfair only mine is a hard top. I really like these old post war dodges, I hope someone saves it. Good eye Robert.

from the missing trim on the back, I wonder if someone was getting ready to paint it? Where there is hay there are mice, and most likely a complete wiring replacement, and interior replacement for sure. Since motor and tranny are out go with a 318 and a 904 with discs and power steering and brakes. that would make it a great interstate cruiser, oh yeah, air conditioning to. Otherwise put it back to stock.
