Sunday School Find: 1970 Ford Mustang

1970 Ford Mustang

I’ve now bought two cars from California, and the absolute best part about them is how dry the bodies are. My latest acquisition has some very small spots I’ll have to deal with eventually, but it hardly qualifies as corrosion. That’s a big selling point of this 1970 Ford Mustang that’s listed here on eBay for $7,500, in addition to the fact that the seller bought it from the original owner.  If the story holds up, these are the ones you hope for: helping the original female owner from church get rid of the car as she cleaned out her estate! I wish I could stumble onto a find like that. This particular car looks fairly clean, but it isn’t perfect. Personally, I’d fix the remaining mechanical bugs and drive it as-is. Does the asking price make it a fair buy though?

$7500 might be a little high, nothing special about this one other than a factory a/c car.

I might be a little biased owning a 70 Mach1 but I feel for the condition of the car and little to no rust the buy it now price isn’t far off. I paid 14K for our Mach and it took 15K in body and paint work to be rust free. This car looks to need very little to be a nice weekend driver / show car, yes it’s no Mach1 or Boss but it’s still a classic.

Don’t know if it’s the color, the angle, the tires or what, but that pic is probably the least appealing Mustang I have ever seen.

P.S. DO NOT MAINTAIN SUSTAINED SPEEDS ABOVE 60 MPH

I find more often here lately since cell phones have become popular to take pictures that people are just getting lazy about their pics. Too dark because they wait until evening or too lazy to pull it out of the garage or turn on some lights. We have a IPhone and IPad but when I’m posting pics to sell something I use my Nikon camera which takes excellent pictures and I know how to use natural light and flash photos.

YES I noticed that unusual sticker but not living in the socialist republic of California I thought it must be normal for there.

Socialist republic – ha! How fitting that a Cali car has a sticker telling you how fast to drive or not drive. Although I am no fan of Rhode Island, I do like the fact that we only inspect for safety on cars older than 25 years.
