We’ve seen all kinds of specialty salvage yards over the years, but this find is a first! It’s a salvage yard/collection of ATVs, dirt bikes, 3 wheelers and all kinds of parts! This collection has taken 30 years to assemble and takes up a 200′ barn. Listed here on eBay and located in Lakeside, California with a BIN, you won’t believe it if you need or want this many parts, of $8K or make an offer.
As per the seller there are hundreds of parts of all makes and models from the ’60s through 1995. There are ATC, quads, motorcycles, as well as some watercraft parts.
There appears to be a “frame” section, so there maybe some order to this “yard”. There are parts for Honda-SL, CR, XR, Z50, Yamaha-DT, MX, YZ, TTR, Suzuki TM, RM, DC, ST, Kawasaki 2-strokes from the ’70s and for the KX. All the parts are “usable” according to the seller.
The seller states that there are “tons” of ’70s air-cooled motocross parts and “tons” of ’80s water-cooled parts. There are no street bike parts though. All offers will be considered, all the parts must go. If you buy it, there is no shipping option and everything must go whether you keep it all or not. The seller says you must provide a dumpster if you want to pick through it all and then you may take just the parts you want. If you are an off-road riding person that is looking for parts and happen to live close to Lakeside California, an offer for this might make sense.
Motor-on,
Robert
If typically stupid eBay asking prices are any indicator, this stuff is probably worth all of two grand at most.
i think he may be selling because of zoning type issues. i would need to see titles/bill of sales/CO’s first. interesting find.
It is sad when the treasures you own somehow begin to own you.
I grew up in East County, mostly El Cajon and Lakeside. There’s some crazy hoarding fools in those parts.
Sad when your life’s work is worth $8k or less.
In the third photo there appear to be a few red Maico motocross frames. If they are the open class bikes they might be worth a couple of grand if all the parts are near by. But $8 grand for a junk salad? No thanks.
Plus it may be déjà vu, but I believe we have all been here before. This ad looks like a repeat from a while ago.
