The inside of BF reader Stephen M’s garage may look a little like the back of your eyelids at night. Most of us own one or two classics that we tinker around with, but Stephen has a whole smorgasbord of fun automobiles to choose from when going out on a drive. There are so many great cars in there that we had to break it up into two photos. Can you identify them all?
Stephen obviously has an affinity for the British marques, but we can spot a few from other parts of the world. We commend you Stephen on your excellent collection and we thank you for sharing it with us!
Starting with the unknowable green (Moke?), Mk I Mini, Alpine, Lotus Exige, Lotus 7, Aston Martin, not sure of the pre war model, a Land Rover (mid 70’s- late ’80’s). Front line; MINI, E-type roadster, and it’s sister, a Rolls, I’m not sure of the next one (although the nose makes me think Morgan?), the nice metallic red has me at a loss, but the last is a MINI Clubman.
I recognize what most people would,
2 E-Type conv.,
1 RR Silver Shadow II,
1 Fiat Dino Coupe,
2 new Minis,
1 old Mini,
1 Landrover series 1,
1 old Lotus Elan conv (or is it a Bugeye ?)
1 newer Lotus Evora
the others I cannot see enough of….
Top Picture:
Mini MOKE
MK I or MK II Mini Cooper
Dino 246
Lotus Elise

Land Rover Defender 110

TVR Tasmin (a guess)
BMW MINI Cooper S
Ooops! I Missed the blue Aston Martin DB5 between the Elise and unknown 30’s car in my original list.
I would like to volunteer to be his “designated driver”; would be happy to drive any one of these fine automobiles – not just the Lotus….

I do not think you will be able to identify all, because most of them,do not exists in US.
Manny
How I would like to call that a BARN…
You are a happy man Stephen.
What about a french car?
Are you saying that the only thing worse than English cars are French cars ?
.
SORRY, i COULDN’T RESIST……
.
.
on a lighter note, Stephen seems to have picked the “who is who” in BEST British cars…quite a nice collection.
Aston DB6. I thought dust was mandated for any structure called a barn. Thanks for sharing Stephen.
Plus I don’t thinks its a Montreal. Windscreen pillar looks very 90s.
yes, very nice in deed. thanks for sharing with us.
Is that a Renault Apline between the Mini and the elise in the top picture?
The maroon car at the end is a Qvale Mangusta . Thanks for the comments. The other old car is a 1935 Ford Phaeton
That’s a Mini Estate. It has the strengthening in the roof. And the grill looks to be a MKII.
No it’s not an Alpine (have always wanted an old Alpine though) . It’s a Ferrari Dino. Thanks Stephen
It is called a Mini Countryman . Most of them had wood on the rear like the Morris Minor Traveler but this one is all steel. It’s a 1970
Thanks Stephen,
have seen a couple of these old Alpines here in Europe lately, performing in some classic car ralleys , always a great sight. And what a great collection!
Love the sable brown SII Jag. Dad’s got one just like it!
Thanks Gus, Sold it a few months ago. I had it for 35 years. Was time to move to something else. I got a BMW Issetta.
