UPDATE 10/8/15 – This project pair is still available. The seller has raised their asking by $500, but mentions that they are willing to negotiate. Thanks for the update Dean!
FROM 7/1/15 – Feeling ambitious? Here’s yet another ambitious abandoned project, a 1960 Chrysler 300F hardtop coupe and a parts car. It looks like the owner has already done a lot of serious work. The possibilities here are intriguing. This coupe has a 375HP 413 with the cross ram dual quads. A completed car could be worth $50K, a condition 1 car would be close to 6 figures. Is there enough there to be worth the seller’s $17,000 asking price though? Would it be possible to put together a complete car with what’s there without serious restoration? It would take serious time and money to completely restore one of these. One would have to be a devoted Mopar fan to take this on, but what a glorious beast you’d have. It’s in Oklahoma City and listed here on craigslist.
that is 17K for both the 300 and a parts car, they both look in pretty decent shape, If I had the bucks, I’d give it a go
My first thought is “assemble someone else’s project? Um, no.”
Then I saw the cross ram intakes and my eyes just glazed over…..it would be gorgeous !!!!!
The body on the 300F looks good. It bothers me that the front stub frame has been removed. I’m thinking this needs to go to a frame alignment shop to be put on correctly.
yikes! finish somebody else’s abandoned project, you really have to know what your doing to bring back to life.
Rare car. Worth every penny.
Back in ’78 I purchased a ’69 Roadrunner and in the trunk was a set of Crossram intake and exhaust manifolds.
Dang I wish I would have kept them, and the car…
That said, a lot of value here, but a large shop and some knowledge of these cars would be priority 1.
I’m feeling ambiguous about this one – gotta-ways to go; more interesting if it was a “C”
Negotiate that down to $10,000 & I would be a buyer. Then sell the 300 4 door for some extra bucks.
A labor of love id say. Probably someone couldn’t afford to have it finished.
If my memory is correct on this model Did they come out with a square steering wheel? Because some 39+ years ago I recall seeing one that had that type steering wheel. If anyone knows about this model let me know
