Here’s a BIG project in Winnsboro, Texas. a 1964 XKE Series 1 all matching numbers car listed here on ebay.  The bid, at the time of writing, is $25,100 with reserve not met.  Many images are provided for your viewing.

As you can see the car is mostly disassembled as stated by the owner.  He states that this is a very solid 98% rust free car which is good.  The seats are included be it is not know if they are Series 1 or 2.

The windshield is cracked, the transmission is disassembled and the owner was told the engine and rear end were rebuilt.

The rust supposedly looks worse in the images.

The project is about 100 miles South of Dallas, TX if you are thinking about flying in.  The owner encourages anybody that wants to come out and take an inventory to do so.  A big, big project, but many good ones are.  I’m glad there are those who have the resources and the wherewithal to tackle one of these and save another XKE.  Are you one of the lucky, or not so lucky ones?
