Calling this barn find a project, might be an understatement. It needs a total restoration and we aren’t talking about the pull it apart, clean it up and put it back together kind of restoration. This Malibu has rust, is in pieces and is missing parts. That being said, the seller is asking $2,500 or best offer for it and including a complete spare front clip. Considering the original 283 is still sitting in the engine bay, it might just be worth picking up! It won’t be an easy project and it certainly isn’t as desirable as a 396 car, but for the money this seems like a great project! You can find this Malibu project here on eBay in Albany, Ohio. So do you think this is one you’d take on?

Wow. That was gone fast!
There were only a special few 396 cars. Your Chevelle coverage is half assed
Being 65 yrs young I had a 65 or 64 283 dual quads, fun strip runner against High school friends… Do not remember chevelle letters on front quarters? nice engine block but awful basket to me other than that! Any thoughts please to you you pros!!! Thanks Paul
The Chevelle letters on the front fenders were probably on 6cyl. base models.
That looks like a decent project. Any part you want/need for that car is available. Too bad it isn’t one of the 201 RPO Z16 cars that are worth 6 figures today, ( http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2012/10/19/rare-z16-chevelle-to-cross-the-block/ ) . . .
I have seen 2 of them.
