1974 Ford Bronco Barn Find

Sometimes being patient can pay off. If you have been waiting to get into the 4×4 scene, and into restorations, this 1974 Ford Bronco can be your gateway. At the time of writing, the bid price is $7,100 with 41 bids. It has quite a following as well, with 163 watching it. The truck is located in Auburn, Georgia and has a clean title and VIN listed. You can view more on eBay.

The engine is listed as a 302 cubic inch V8 with electronic fuel injection that will start with assistance but does not exactly run. It is connected to an automatic transmission. Something the seller is proud to mention is that the fenders are not cut in any way. The body has rust in many places, some of it severe, but they listing states the frame is solid.

Inside, the truck has all of the correct components. There are seats, so you can start with something original to make patterns. The floors are rusted through. In some of the photos, you can see that both driver and passenger footwells show the garage floor in addition to what floor is left of the truck. Other areas of rust are the rockers, and everything related to the tailgate.

It would not be surprising to see the price continue to rise for this wonderful truck. Hopefully, it will be purchased by someone who is willing to put in the time and effort to get it back on the road, rather than someone who will store it away to “appreciate” in value while it rusts away. If you put in the work though, it will be worth it. Flipping it is a possibility, so hopefully, you are that motivated buyer!

I have an 87 Bronco with a 351 W (5.8L) . 87 was the last year that it had a carb. AND IT WAS A 4 barreI, 87 was the first year for the smaller engines to have EFI

we could price point each component, each replacement/rebuild item cost /or/ just go with 5 – 8K $ as is.
Let’s C if it goes higher.
I took 1 for $500 in ’83 w/a $500 sno plow onit & used 3 or 4 others to make the final 1 used up till last yr (34 yrs) as a woods wrk truck. Jeep owes me nuttin. 170, 3.03’n 411 gears fit the bill. Is being changed into something else right now (4.1L stang motor, NV3550 5 speed, etc). GLw/theS!

Anything over $1000 is way, way too much for this particular vehicle. You can get several in extremely better condition for $5-7k.
    Nothing special about this one.

Bronco prices are insane crazy anymore. Rust-o-ramas, I remember working in Ford parts for years and sold a lot of 1/4 panels, doors and fenders for those box-Broncs. I don’t know what the infatuation is with them but I’m not drinkin’ it. That $1K rust bucket will probably go for crazy money because somebody HAS to have a Bronco. SMH.
