The owner of this 1993 Ford Mustang Cobra has had the car since 1995. Recently, it was broken into and the radio was stolen and the rear hatch key lock was busted. The Autocheck score shows 4 owners and the car has only 67,000 miles. It is listed here on eBay with 2 days remaining in the auction. It is currently bid to $22,601 and there is no reserve. The Mustang Cobra is located in Puyallup, Washington. In addition to a more potent engine, the Cobra also featured various performance enhancements compared to the standard Mustang GT of that year. It had a stiffer suspension, larger front brakes, and improved handling characteristics. Additionally, the Cobra came with a unique body kit, including a distinctive rear spoiler and special badging, setting it apart from other Mustang models.
The interior in the listing is shown as gray but it looks black to me. You can see where the radio was removed during theft. The seller states that a friend put a new clutch in it and it does not shift well now. There is also some damage to the rear hatch where apparently the thieves broke in. Otherwise the car looks to be in great condition. With the purchase of the Mustang Cobra, the car comes with its original books and paperwork. The dash is not cracked and the seats look almost brand new.
The 1993 Mustang Cobra was equipped with a 5.0-liter (302 cubic inch) high-output V8 engine. This engine is commonly known as the “302 HO” and featured fuel injection and had a cast iron block with aluminum heads. The Cobra’s engine was specifically tuned for performance, offering enhanced power and responsiveness. The engine produced 235 horsepower at the crankshaft. The Cobra delivered 280 pound-feet (lb-ft) of torque, providing excellent acceleration. 0-60 times were in the 6 second range and the quarter mile could be covered in 14.5 seconds.
Ford introduced the 1993 Mustang Cobra at the 1992 Chicago Auto Show and was developed by Ford’s SVT program. The Cobra was available in red, teal or black. Interior colors were limited to gray or black. The top speed of the car was limited to 140 mph. This car looks nice and the damage wouldn’t scare me away.
It’s 167k miles according to the history report
Yep, unfortunately looks like someone’s gonna get taken for a ride on this one financially. It’s got 167,000 miles on it.
Factual errors in article. Regular Cobras used standard base Mustang front suspension. Cobra Rs may have had stiffer suspension but not regular Mustang Cobras. Also this is an OBD I car with no traction control. No speed limiters on these cars.
Well it’s very nice looking for 167k on her. As for the clutch. If I remember the Cobra had a different set up from the GT. Maybe it could be the wrong setup. So with the mileage and other issues $14,500 is more reasonable. Buyer beware..🐻🇺🇸
167K miles! No thank you! This pony is almost ready to be put out in the pasture & retire….
How does any EBay seller not know that when they check the “include vehicle history report” option that they are now bound to tell the truth?
In cases like this, I guess not, leaving them to look like the big liar that they are. Yeah, good luck having someone send you their money, you would think, but that’s clearly not the case, with the current bidding.
No teal paint either.. 😢 😕 😞 🎨
