There are a lot of old Camaros on the market right now. What could make this one stand out though? It has been owned by the same family since new and has been stored in a garage for 20 years. They even have the original black California plates. It is reported to be rust free with no collision history. It’s a 350 CID, 4 barrel quadrajet carb, 4-speed car. If this car is as nice as they say, could it be worth $17,000? It could be the start of a great project, but what would one do with it? I would want to restore it to original numbers matching status, but some might want to customize it. It’s for sale in Orange County, California for $17,000 and listed here on craigslist.

Funny, In 71″ I bought a MUCH nicer SS/ RS car with same motor-tyranny for 850.00. Fun Car for sure. Hard to picture it EVER being worth 17 G… This MAY be a Rare car due to the fact its NOT a SS. Be fun to check out the numbers.
sure, but in 1971 it was just a 3 year old, used car.
Nice candidate for a complete restoration, but IMO is way over priced. I would say$12k tops.
If this car was closer to my home, I’d be interested because the body condition and manual transmission.
The presentation of the car would be better if the seller pushed the car out of the garage before taking pictures.
Would have been nice if he stated if the motor turned over freely or if it runs, that might make a big difference in price. The way the ad reads I agree 12K tops.
“no rust” – BS! The photo clearly shows rust.
17K? Not in this shape!
I have to remember this isn’t an auction like ebay , so $17K sounds like a dream price I think the rust we are seeing is surface rust more typical of coastal cars,, I do question the passenger quarter above the rear tire ( for that kind of money, it had better be danged perfect) It will look nice once it is restored, but not at $17K
Engine decodes to:
327ci produced 1964 to 1967, 2 bolt block
YW = 1966 truck, 185hp, 2 barrel carb w/manual transmission
If bill’s info is correct I wonder if the owner really knows.
Sorry, I’m not interested in paying for your wedding, considering the odds that you’ll be divorced in ten years or less …..
Twenty years of storage just two miles from the Ocean??? No Rust?? Riiiiiight!
I might go as high as 10K ……..That will get you a band and the VFW Hall …….
