Big-block C3 Corvettes have always held strong appeal, and this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible has the kind of drivetrain combination that immediately gets attention. Located in Parker, Colorado, this project is said to retain its original 427/435-horsepower V8 and M22 “Rock Crusher” 4-speed manual transmission. It is offered as a Barn Finds Exclusive with a clean title and an asking price of $20,000 or best offer.

The seller describes this Corvette as a restomod-style project with a clean body, noting no seam cracks and no rust on the undercarriage. It comes with a hardtop, though the convertible soft top is not included. Fender flares were reportedly professionally installed and show no visible seams or separation.

Under the hood is the original 427/435 engine, though it no longer wears the factory 3×2 carburetor setup and intake. Instead, it is fitted with an Edelbrock intake and Holley 750 double-pumper carburetor. The seller states that the engine is numbers-matching and was professionally rebuilt by Dave and Doug Slatten in Fort Collins at approximately 42,000 miles. Backing the big-block is an M22 4-speed manual transmission, one of the most desirable gearboxes offered in muscle-era Corvettes. The car also has new brakes and a custom but clean interior. Current mileage is listed at 49,937.

The Corvette has reportedly been in the seller’s family since 1980 and stored in an enclosed garage for the last 19 years. It was last pulled into the garage under its own power in 2018. At present, it cranks but starts only when fuel is sprayed directly into the carburetor or intake, which the seller believes points to a carburetor issue rather than an electrical problem.

This is not a turn-key Corvette, but the ingredients are compelling: a 1969 convertible, big-block power, claimed numbers-matching drivetrain, M22 4-speed, hardtop, clean title, and long-term family ownership. For someone willing to sort the fuel system and continue the build, this C3 could be an exciting project with serious upside.
