Listed here on the Detroit craigslist are two, a ’69 and a ’67, Plymouth Barracudas priced as a package for $8,000. Does it get any better than this? The owner is thinning out his projects because he doesn’t have “time anymore”.  While they certainly aren’t the highly desirable Cuda, these could turn out to be fun projects at a great price! Jamie recently wrote about a pair of ’66 Barracudas and this pair looks to be in better condition than those. Thanks goes to Barry M. for the tip!

Here you have two project cars. Again, these were good running cars when they were placed in the warehouse over ten years ago.

The ’69 was a West Coast car and has a solid body, with minimal rust, and a 318 with automatic. The ’67 is a “one owner” Michigan car with rust, a slant 6 with automatic and A/C. Side bar: if you purchase a car from the original owner, it then becomes a “two owner car”.

The ’69 interior has had some work done with it. The ’67 interior will require more work though.

The owner wishes to sell as a package, but he may consider splitting them up. So do you have the time to finish these?

Cheers,
Robert

I like these better than the later Cudas. Knew a guy that had a 69 with a 440 with 3 2s

Agree, these were better looking than the 1970 onward. Working in a gas station while in high school a customer left one overnight to be worked on. So at night when it was time to pull it into the garage bay I found out how easy it was to do a full burn out in one. Just rest your left foot on the brake and floor the gas pedal and white clouds of tire smoke were yours for the asking. Poor guy probably was wondering how his rear tires lost half their tread in one day.

Seems like a match made in heaven. Take the usable parts off the rusty Michigan car, in particular the A/C that appears to be an add on (all the easier to switch) and put them on the non rust West Coast car. Then “build up” the West Coaster or just put in a Hellcat power plant and off you go……………….. all be it extremely quickly!
    Talk about a sleeper……………….
