After featuring a story about automotive memorabilia the other day, we received many emails from interested parties and even a few from people with collections of their own. We are still waiting to hear back from the owners of that other collection so we can send their contact info over to everyone who was interested, but in the meantime we wanted to present this stash of license plates. One of our readers has put together this collection of sample plates from 1962. These would have hung in the Canadian DMV offices and each province and territory is represented here. Around $1k was invested, but the seller is asking $500 here on kijiji. He is also open interesting trades. Thanks goes to Graham L. for sharing this with us!

Automobilia: Canadian License Plate Collection

$1000 invested, asking $500.
Sums up the car hobby pretty well.
And while I would LOVE the collection I wouldn’t pay more than $250.
Yep really does sum up the hobby LOL.
PROVIDENCE???
you goof – province!!
It was late Trevor. Thanks for catching that!
Cool, but a single such plate would be enough for most people. Therefore I would be more inclined to simply troll antique shows and online auctions for one rather than buying someone else’s collection.
only 2 1962 zero plates on Ebay for 45.59 each including shipping. if you want the whole set i am not sure where else you would find them. interesting find.
