Bargain 1952 International Pickup

left

This old pickup is listed here on craigslist in Brentwood, California for a modest $1,800. It has a title and runs and drives. The owner found it in a barn. He’s done all the mechanical work necessary to make it driveable, including electrical, brakes and fuel system. The passenger door has a bit of rust. So why is he selling it so cheap?

inside

The project has come a long way. The floor looks pretty solid. He has repainted the dash.

seat

He has even had the seat redone.

rear

It looks like the owner has several other interesting projects. I wonder why he gave up on this one. It doesn’t look like it would take much to finish it. It looks like it would be a fun driver just as it is. What do you think?

From here it looks like one of the better deals posted on BF. Should go quickly.

Would love to own this truck if it was closer to Missouri. It has just the right look to me and yes it looks to need little work to be a daily hauler.

What part of Missouri you live in, I am in SE Missouri 65 miles south of St Louis.

As for the truck, I would fix up what is left to fix and drive it. These old trucks last for years if taken care of.

I know of 2 in and around Charleston, MO, that are still used today on a Veg truck farm, the owners uses them everyday, and he keeps them up and running and in top shape. But he also has a small bone yard with about 10 in it he has bought and uses for parts.

The L thru S series were some of the best trucks that Binder ever built. My dad owned several and he swore by them. When the A and B series came out he swore AT them.
