A few days ago, I mentioned making a trip down to a small nearby town here in Idaho to pick up a hardtop for our Triumph TR3, which you can read about here. Casey, the owner of the hardtop failed to mention that he is the steward of an impressive stash of barn finds, so we didn’t come fully prepared for something of this magnitude. I rarely go anywhere without my trusty action cam, so I was at least able to record the experience of walking through the old car dealership that now houses this collection. We are planning on making another trip back with higher quality equipment to get better footage, plus Casey knows of another stash of cars nearby that is supposedly even more impressive than this one! For the time being, please enjoy the video below and let us know if there are any finds here that you’d like for us to take closer looks at when we go back.
Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel here and don’t forget to click the bell icon so that you get notifications about our latest videos as soon as they drop! Our thanks to Casey for sharing his stash with us.
WOW! Fantastic find, you two! Was that a Ford Y Block in the T-Bird? And when you’re looking at the ‘06 Corvette, was that a BSA 650 Spitfire on the drivers side?
Cool stuff. Keep them coming please!
Don’t you just love it when this happens!
You guys have inspired me! I live in Star, and it’s time to go exploring! I would love to hear/see more about that ’65 Chevy p/u with the automatic. Good friend of mine had one 30 years ago, his was a 327/PG. Between close friends and family, we have owned at least 20 of the 60-66 GMC/Chevy’s and really want another. Great find!!
Just a suggestion from a videographer- grab one of these $38 wireless lavalier mics from Amazon and put it on your tour guide. It will give you clear sound so that old codgers (like myself) can hear every glorious word! https://www.amazon.com/Hotec-Microphone-Transmitter-Rechargeable-Performances/dp/B07M8HQQDY/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=WIRELESS%2BLAVALIER%2BMIC&qid=1617923657&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyUERSV0gwWTFVSUI3JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjI1NzM4MTkxRUdCR1dFU0hPMiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNTA0NTA0MkNSNzhYN0pHTTgzWCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1
When we go back, we are going to bring mics and our DLSR video rig so that both sound and video are better quality. We had no idea that Casey had this collection when we headed out, so we weren’t prepared for it at all!
The 7 Litre Galaxie, R code Torino, and the the 66 Fairlane are my favorites. But the Toyota Hilux would be my first choice. Thanks for sharing your find!
What strikes me first; that is a MASSIVE facility for project cars! The ’60 Poncho 2dht with its OE paint should be out on the streets NOW. Love the ’47 Olds bomb too not to mention the ’67 Skylark GS ‘vert should make a fairly rare animal today.
It’s so good to see that collections like this are still out there; just amazing to learn what can be found locally once you start sniffing around
Barn Finds could make money selling vaccinations against buying every car I see disease.
Selling it to guys wives !!!
I was never inoculated for British car disease…
A lot of nice cars in that walk around…
Really liked the black ’68 (?) El Dorado. Had one like it. Would be interested if it is for sale!
What video??? I see the same pointless ad over and over. I will never patronize Vroom dot com!
There is no such thing as a free lunch.
What about the 69 chevelle? Is it for sale?
WHAT A GREAT VIDEO! At the risk of divorce (after 52 years), would the owner be willing to part with that ’60 Bonneville convertible?
Great find overall.
Hello,
Like to contact these people to see if any are for sale now, do you have that info ?
Thanks
So VERY COOL!! Thank you guys for this interesting and inspiring walk-around of these beautifully preserved vehicles. This type of preservation is important for posterity.
