Base Barn Find: 1955 Chevrolet 210

1955 Chevrolet 210

This Chevy sat for 25 years, covered up, in a barn. This is a nice original version of the “Plain Jane” version sedan – the 210 with four doors and a 3-speed column shift. It doesn’t even have the chrome horn ring on the steering wheel. It appears mostly original except for things like the horn button and the radio. We had a turquoise version of this 1955 Chevy growing up so this car brings back memories. This old Chevy could be an inexpensive classic for someone to enjoy. Famous last words, but it shouldn’t take much to get this on the road again, depending on how much one spends on bodywork and paint. There is, of course, a huge difference in the value between two and four door cars, but four door cars are becoming collectable and might just be a good investment. This one runs and drives, but smokes. It could be several things including needing new rings. It’s for sale in Parker, Arizona and listed here on eBay with an opening bid of $3500.

At least you’ll have 5 matching wheel’s and 4 original hubcap’s. Sorry but I see a part’s car. A really good one at that.

Unless there is something hiding underneath, I think this is a good restoration candidate. Just my two cents.

Four door sedans, they’re always welcome at my place. Very good restoration candidate. And something that could be enjoyed for many years.

the 210 was the mid level Chevy in 1955..the 150 was the plain Jane version

These old four door sedans make a great local police car, paint it up black and white add a period correct local PD star on the door, vintage Motorola two way under the dash and put a big red cherry on top. Great old parade car you would have! Oh, and don’t forget the siren under the hood…

My parents elderly neighbor had a car exactly like this, and I never knew he had it. After he passed away, and the widow moved, I saw a flatbed truck, back up to his garage, and haul it away. It was green and no rust, but faded. Who knows where it ended up.
