BF Exclusive: Volkswagen Beetles For Sale

Asking: $1,500Make Offer

We all have our own style and interests. Some of us like perfectly restored classics, while others like patina-covered customs. Well, if you are in the latter group, a patina Beetle probably is on your list of cars to build, making this the perfect find for you! The seller of these Beetles needs them gone and is asking $1,500 per car. While they will need lots of rust repair, you can’t replicate the wild look Mother Nature created here. They are located in Jacksboro, Tennessee, and are ready to be hauled away.

While all of these are in rough shape, some appear to be more complete than others. If you grab all four cars, you might have enough parts to build one or two complete cars. The lack of titles poses a problem if you want to put one of these back on the road, but it’s not an impossible hurdle to clear. The question is, is the patina worth the squeeze? Or are these just parts cars? Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and if you’d like to make the seller an offer for one or all four, use the form above to contact them.

So, your offering to pay me $1500 each car to haul these off…or am I reading this wrong?

I’d call them parts cars, except they’ve already been parted.

Parts cars I do not see any parts here and 1500 dollars each. It should say 100 to haul them away!

At first glance I thought the one with the sealed beam headlights was a 67 but scrolling through the pics revealed it is a Super Beetle. I’m betting these get crushed.

Find a local VW freak and let him go crazy and charge him/her by the pound. Most junk yards won’t except without a title. So you are down to cutting them up for scrap metal. You will need to cut them up into small pieces. Anything still resembling a car and no title. Still is a problem. The Super Beetle is of some interest to me. But 1700 miles away is not worth the trip.

$1500 each?!?!?!? Holy Moly! I thought it was over priced for all four at $1500… Not even good years and no ragtops.

Love how they call that rusted out hulk “patina”.

Basically, what we have now are junkyard owners trying to pass off their inventory as “classics.” This way they can sell a car that they would get $200 for, for the value of the metal for $2000 or $20,000. Just using random numbers for educational purposes.
People are getting desperate. The hobby is being destroyed from within.
If people would just sell these cars and junkyard cars for their own value instead of “making a killing” we would all be better off.
