Vintage cabover haulers have a presence all their own, and this 1941 Dodge COE looks ready to draw attention whether it is parked at a show or carrying another classic down the road. Finished with a red cab, black fenders, custom bed, and big-block Chrysler power, this Dodge combines prewar commercial styling with modernized drivability. Located in Hitterdal, Minnesota, it is offered as a Barn Finds Classified with a clean title and an asking price of $28,000.

Power comes from a 413 cubic-inch Chrysler V8 paired with an automatic transmission believed to be a Chrysler TorqueFlite. A Mitchell high/low gear splitter provides overdrive capability, and the seller states that the truck cruises effortlessly at 70 mph. The chassis is believed to be based on a Dodge truck or motorhome one-ton-plus platform, and the odometer shows 9,350 miles since the build.

The cab is finished in red with black fenders and underside, and the seller states there is no rust. The interior has been upgraded with custom black leather, a dash-mounted tachometer and speedometer, and a custom painted metal center console housing gauges for oil pressure, clock, water temperature, fuel, and voltage.

The rear bed is one of the major highlights. It features an 8-foot by 16-foot Apitong hardwood floor, described as a $4,000-plus upgrade, along with electric tilt, an electric 8,000-pound winch, 6-foot aluminum ramps, and 8-foot wooden ramps. Chrome wheels are fitted all around, with Bridgestone LT235/85R16 tires mounted as singles up front and duals in the rear.

Additional details include chrome upright dual exhaust behind the cab, oversized chrome towing mirrors, a 40-gallon fuel tank, and recent service that included a carburetor rebuild, pump motor replacement, and oil change. The seller notes that all glass is near-perfect aside from the driver’s quarter window and lower driver’s windshield area. Built in 2000 and showing only 9,350 miles, this Dodge cabover offers the look of a vintage hauler with the power and equipment to be useful. Whether used as a show hauler, shop truck, promotional vehicle, or weekend toy, this 1941 Dodge COE has the kind of character that is hard to replicate.
