Sometimes, you just get the itch to clear out your inventory of parts and projects. Or, sometimes a new opportunity catches your eye and it makes sense to change everything up. I’m not sure what’s going on with this interesting listing out of California, but the seller of a Porsche 924 sitting on flat tires here on craigslist also claims to have a clean Westfalia VW camper and several other homes on wheels.
It’s hard to decipher exactly what’s happening in this listing and what the seller really wants to move. The 924 is just said to have ran when parked; no other details are offered. In the horrible photo up top, you can make out the familiar 924 silhouette, but not much else. Here’s the rear of the VW Westfalia camper, which the seller mentions is up for sale as well.
There are also some pull-behind campers for sale. These intrigue me, as there’s a growing fan base of these vintage campers. Chock full of nostalgia for experiencing America the way travelers did in the 50s and 60s, they look to be in good shape – but the interior of rigs like these is where condition matters most. The seller notes all of these vehicles are parked on his farm estate and will require a three hour drive from LAX to see them.
Interestingly, it looks like the seller has several other items for sale not shown in the listing. He also specifies on these cardboard cut-outs that he is very interested in trading for Porsche 911 parts and cars. I give him a lot of credit for seeing the opportunity to move onto more profitable ventures, but I think that ship has sailed; regardless, you never know who could pull over and knock on the door with info about a stash of cars in the hills of California.
According to the cardboard sales ads, it’s not the Westy that’s for sale, but the interior kitchen portion with the cabinets. I hate sellers like this.. geez, take the time to make yourself clear about what you are selling and for how much. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if he doesn’t sell a thing.
I have sold most all and yes I have 2 westy.
Kinda goofy how none of you even called me? Lol you but made a whole blog about my stuff for sale. I wish I had free time like you cool internet dudes. Btw I live in the middle of town not off in the hills like your made up stories.
Agreed – he needs to have a separate ad for each,
with a reference to the others.
Fun story I did make multiple ads, how do you think this internet dude found me? Was I hidden under a rock or did I post multiple publicly accessible advertisements?
Do you want to come help?
It’s so amazing how you are the only person that know how to use Craigslist. I am so happy to have found such a Craigslist master years after all that stuff sold. What would I do without you….. my poor ship 🚢 is sailing ⛵️ with 3-911’s stuffed in the cargo holds….
I wonder if I pay a bit extra and have a trailer hitch put on the Porsche I can make a package deal on car and a trailer

Sellers wife says to sell all the junk outside or he will be in trouble. This is his way of saying, “Look dear I have it all listed. The market is just slow right now.”
