We’ve featured 1929 Ford Model A’s here on Barn Finds before. While other models of pre-war Fords are more popular, the cars from the late 20’s are still pretty neat. This specific “car” can be found here on eBay with an asking price of only $1,000. I use the term “car” loosely. This project may be better suited as a chassis donor for another project.
The chassis for this car is said to be rebuilt but doesn’t really go into much detail. I don’t know if it was more of a full rebuild or rattle-can restoration. The rebuild may have been done with the body on though since the forward section looks rusty still? It also seems like the pile of body parts is just sitting on the chassis.
The engine is said to turn over but does need some things to get it in running condition. Again, this chassis may serve better as a donor for another project. This car seems pretty far gone as-is. What do you think? Is this car salvageable?
I love the fenders on that tow dolly.
Is that that a classic dolly or did somone just slap on some classic fenders… either way, it’s cool.
I’m sold, the ad stated it has ‘new chrome covered lug nuts’.
My bet is that they are the rear fenders, but on the opposite side of where they should be.
I think the side to side ventilation would be cool.
I did not know that Ford used a corrugated floor board, this is far better than the usual wood. It won’t rot out, and if its zinc plated, it won’t rust much either.
I can also visualize this with a couch parked in it, and after a tetanus shot, sitting in a man-cave.
