This 1990 Dodge Ramcharger is a 360-equipped truck that has been partially restored, with evidence of money spent in the right places while the good areas were left alone. This truck sports a new factory-correct paint job with a sharp two-tone exterior, along with new tires, mechanical repairs, and a fresh interior. The Dodge is also quite solid with no evidence of major rot or rust, and the seller indicates it is a life-long Texas truck. Fortunately, there’s no evidence of sun damage, at least not with a new paint job already completed. The Ramcharger is offered with no reserve here on eBay where bidding has reached $11,600.
The blue over silver combo is inoffensive, if not the most desirable of color combos. Given this is a Texas truck, the seller may have been proactively addressing sun fade or clearcoat damage by having the Dodge resprayed. The quality of a paint job is one of those things you’ll never know unless you inspect the truck up close or can get the seller to send multiple close-ups confirming lack of orange peel or other flaws that are inherent in less-than-Concours paint jobs. Of course, for a truck like this, it doesn’t need to be world-class, but if you’re paying for a turnkey rig, you’d like for the paint work to be of a decent quality. The new tires look good and beefy on there.
The interior features a variety of comfort and convenience features, including power windows, locks, and an upgraded CD player and speakers. The seller notes that the carpet and floormats are new, and that the seat belt mechanisms have been “rebuilt.” The steering box has also been upgraded and the air conditioning converted to R134A. The bucket seats look to be in great shape, and quite comfortable, too. The gray cloth upholstery is a nice change of pace from the usual tans and browns we see in trucks like the Bronco, Blazer, and Ramcharger, and even with 100,000 miles on the clock, it all looks to be in very nice shape save for some wear to the left-side bolster on the driver’s seat.
The clean cabin continues to the back seat, which looks like it’s never been used. The seller notes several recent mechanical fixes and/or upgrades, including new fuel injectors, spark plugs and wires, radiator flush, and routine servicing of the front and rear differentials. New shocks and brakes have also been installed, and the seller notes that a new-in-the-box exhaust system and performance muffler will be included in the sale. The seller confirms that almost nothing has been left untouched on this clean Ramcharger, but the good news is even with that attention to detail, the truck still doesn’t feel over-restored. The current bid price seems quite reasonable for what you’re getting in return.
What a good looking truck, I bet it brings the $$$
A real beauty! I’d love to have this rig.
The blue and silver is gorgeous, I love that the writer sees the color combination as a negative. Should it be white, or black, like everything else on the road? Please!
Does it ever occur to anyone hmmm.. maybe I should include a few photos under the hood ?? So annoying
