We featured this same truck here on Barn Finds in December of 2019. It has undergone a couple of changes since then including a new tire and wheel package along with a surprise under the hood. Trucks from the 1970s continue to become more and more popular. Crew cab Ford trucks are some of the rarest among the group and this 1974 F250 is a great looking example. It can be found here on eBay with a current bid of $23,000 and the reserve hasn’t been met yet. Located near where it was sold before in Homedale, Idaho, this truck looks right at home amongst the tall grass on a farm. Let’s look at this one again a little more closely.
The interior is a very handsome brown color which compliments the exterior. You can see an aftermarket steering wheel, seat coverings, and gauges, but other than that, it appears to be original. The back seat shares the same covering as the front. These trucks with two bench seats can easily seat six adults comfortably. Unfortunately, there isn’t a photo of the current engine compartment. The engine that was in the truck in 2019 is gone and the seller says they have a 390 or 460 that could go with it.
The modern-style chrome wheels aren’t for everyone’s taste. The “original style” wheels and hubcaps that were on the truck in 2019 made the truck look very utilitarian. Which style do you prefer?
Didn’t know they had ghettos in farm country.
Ruined the looks
At $23,000+ ? You’d better be putting that engine IN the truck, and having it running and driving.
At least the seller didn’t paint it all-black-everything like half of modern trucks (and 75% of the ones with those rims).
Loose the Bro rims
I like the steelies, just put a set of BF Goodrich All Terrains on them
It’s all in what the owner prefers but I would go with stock poverty caps, that’s what I call them, either way one good looking truck but would look better as an extended cab not a 4 door.,my favorite colors
I saw one of these sell for over $200,000 at the Mecum Auction. Don’t ask me why.
I’m w/Jay. Same on ‘dimond’ upholstry. Lill hi on the lift (esp w/those tires/wheels). Fav vehicle there (well, ’73/9 F250 but not this model).
It looks 4WD from this distance so shrt bd is OK. But for off rd get the right tire/wheel. I like more toward the “personal transportation” for off rd (the smaller the better here, back east). Same gen, short bed step side 4WD w/the mil mi motor, lght paint’n two 18 inch wide blk race stripes dwn hood & over cab…
