Fast Family Hauler: 1967 Jaguar E-Type

1967 Jaguar E Type Front

Owning an iconic Jaguar E-Type is a dream to many, but many of us cannot afford the beautiful convertible version of this automobile. This 1967 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 can make the dream a little more realistic. This rust free example is located in Delaware and is currently at auction on eBay. There are five days left and the bidding is at $12k with a BIN price of $18,9000.

1967 Jaguar E Type Rear

We love the rear view of these coupes. Yellow is not our favorite color, but the pale yellow used on this Jag is really starting to grow on us. The seller claims that this car is rust free and all the panels, with the exception of one of the fenders, feature the original paint.

1967 Jaguar E Type Dash

This is a series one car so it features the nice toggle switch dash. The seats are showing some wear, but they are leather so they can probably be repaired and polished up to look like to new.

1967 Jaguar E Type Back Seat

This is the reason this car is selling at a bargain price. This is a 2+2, so it includes a small back seat. This feature makes it less attractive to many, but if price is an issue then this upholstered shelf could be over looked and may even be considered useful to some.

1967 Jaguar E Type Engine

Besides the beautiful exterior styling, this is what makes this car great. This car features Jaguar’s twin cam six which many consider superior to the V12 used later on in production. We would want to have this car inspected to make sure everything is fine mechanically and it should be as long as it has been maintained since this car has only covered 62k miles. We feel that this could be a good buy for someone if the reserve is not set too much higher. Eighteen grand is not a bad price for this car, but a few thousand dollars lower would leave a little to get everything sorted and still have it at about market value. This is an investment that is sure to appreciate in the years to come.

Great candidate for a “Harold and Maude” conversion.

Great car, had red one just like it briefly many years ago. The `67 came with the 4.2 litre and triple SUs. They were quite reliable and with a simple vacuum gauge weren’t that hard to tune. The venerable 5.3 V12 found its way into the E-type in late 1970 in the series 3 cars. @Philip: NO THANKS on making it a “LUMP!”

Primrose yellow early 67… Mid year they went to the cover-less headlights… A beautiful example…
