$2,000 or best offer? For a truck this nice-looking in 2026?! You can’t get nothin’ (as they say) in 2026 for two grand anymore, vehicle-wise, especially a vintage red-hot Chevy square body pickup. I predict this one won’t last long, and I just had to feature this 1976 Chevrolet C20 Scottsdale when I saw it here on Facebook Marketplace in Jefferson, Oregon. The seller is asking $2,000 or best offer, and here is the original listing.

Spring Green and Willoway Green is the two-tone paint scheme of this great-looking truck. I keep saying it’s great looking because I think it is overall, a lot of you may not. The seller has another rust-free hood that goes with the sale, by the way. The Scottsdale trim level was one above the base model, the Custom Deluxe, but it was still a really nice truck. It appears that the “bright trim/molding” around the windshield has gone missing after the five decades this truck has been in use.

The seat is in the back due to the floor needing work up front in the cab. There’s a scrape/dent by the gas filler as you can see, and what appears to be either random years of goop and dirt under or behind the trim and in other crevices, or that’s some surface rust. Or maybe both, it’s hard to tell. Still, I can almost guarantee that this truck would look amazing with a thorough detail and polish on the exterior. And, a couple’a more hubcaps for the rear wheels. The rear bumper is bent down, but that seems to be the case more often than not on old pickups, and this one is five decades old now. Who here remembers thinking that the country’s upcoming 200th Anniversary is coming soon? I sure do, it’s weird being this old.

Here are the floors, or what’s left of them. Clearly, they’ve been cut out; they didn’t rust to that point, so that’s good. Speaking of good, for $2,000 or offer, the seller is including all new floor pans and other panels to weld in! I think that’s just dirt under the trim, if you put your face about four inches from your screen and look over your glasses, or maybe that’s just me who does that.

The engine is, uhhhh… a V8, but that’s about all we know. The seller doesn’t mention the size or give a VIN, a data plate, or any engine information, even in the craigslist data, so your guess is as good as mine. I’m guessing a 350-cu.in. OHV V8, but a 454 V8 was also available. The engine size badges went away after 1975, so we can’t even look to that for help. Whatever it is, it appears to have an Edlebrock carb and air cleaner, and unfortunately, it needs a battery and starter to be usable. They say it ran before the starter went out. Still, for $2,000 or less, this is a (there he goes again) great-looking pickup! This one is worth restoring to its original glory, in my opinion, given how inexpensive it is and the included panels. What are your thoughts on this 3/4-ton Scottsdale?

The bed alone is worth 2 grand. Unless the floor is like the cab.

Mr. Lee, I didn’t see any specific bed floor photos, but here’s one with a partial view from the listing.
