Today is a special day for in the United States of America. We have barbecues, shoot off fireworks, and go to car shows. We will come back to that last on in a sec, but first let’s focus on what really matters. Here at Barn Finds we are grateful for all the freedoms we enjoy in this country. We may take things like freedom of speech and the exercise of religion for granted sometimes, so lets all take a minute and think about how blessed we really are.
Now that we have done that, let’s talk about car shows. This is a popular time to have them and I thought it would be fun to have our own right here on the site. There is one rule though. The car has to be red, white, blue, or a combination of all three. I have kicked things off with this AMX that was spotted at a local car show here in Boise. You can submit your own patriotic cars in the comments below. This should be fun. Have a happy Independence Day everyone!
Kinda ironic to submit one from the losing side, but the Brits and the USA share the same colors and have fought alongside each other for a long time. This is my 1963 Triumph Italia mid-autocross run. I did increase tire pressure for the next attempt…
How bout Red and Blue with a little White This is our two 65 Mustangs at a local Car Show.
As a bit of blue, and certainly keeping with the traveling that a lot of folks are doing over the holiday here’s a Triumph TR6 trailer spotted at the 1999 6-Pack Trials in Little Switzerland, NC.
To finish the Triumph Trifecta of red, white and blue, here’s another Italia spotted at a show up North by a friend of mine. Happy Independence Day, Barn Finds readers!
Just missing the red. God Bless America, happy birthday!
Just wanted to add, god bless the men & women who serve in our armed services that make our freedom possible

And a Talledega joke for the very cool VW pix. This was on the old Mark & Brian radio show years ago. They used to make fun of Fabio a lot.. but he had a good sense of humor *Humour for the UK* and came on the program a few times.
M&B: “So, Fabio, you are a famous and very attractive man and no doubt many women in your life, Tell us where was the most exciting and unusual place you have ever made love?
Fabio: “Well, on the hood of a car!”
M&B: “Hood of a car? Thats not that uncommon, many people do that. What was so unusual about that?”
Fabio: “Taking the checkered flag at Talladega!”
Thanks Doug, it has American friends as well!

This red-white-n-blue 1969 AMX is coming back to Kearney, Nebraska, on July 12 to its new home at the Classic Car Collection. One of the 52 Hurst modified, the car was campaigned by a team of high school seniors back in ’69. It has been owned by a drag racer in Maryland for a number of years but will now return to the central Nebraska city of its roots.
This is a beautiful historic car and we are excited to have it coming back to the Classic Car Collection in Kearney, Nebraska.
I love seeing our members pics, Happy 4th, lets discuss a regional get together!

And now the sad story…Terrible accident in Houtzdale,PA.A 62ish Corvette and a 57 chevy hit by suspected drunk driver….in a Jeep..They were returning from a car show. One lady in 57 died..the others bad shape…Jeep driver minor injuries.Sad day…
That’s not what we need to hear happening on your Independence Day. Hope all the injured make a speedy recovery and the Jeep driver, if he was drunk, gets a life sentence in exchange for the lady’s life that he has taken.
Nicely done Jesse. Attached is my Red, White and Blue salute. Somewhat newer vehicles for this site, however my older ones are the wrong colors. Enjoying our freedoms!
As in prior, I have older vehicles too, just not 4th color scheme – nonetheless, 100% America. God Bless the USA!
As usual I am a little late to the party. But I did bring my Dad’s 64 Galaxy 500XL, sporting a 390 with tri-deuces. Which is properly done up in red, white, and chrome. And yes it is for sale.
Late as usual, but I saved the best for last
