While early nineties Cadillac Sedan DeVilles were not as big as they used to be, they were 202.6 inches long with a 113.8-inch wheelbase, a much more manageable size. There would be arguments over whether cars from this era are considered classic, but there is no disputing that this car has been well preserved. This is a 1991 Cadillac Sedan DeVille for sale here on Craigslist in Stedman, North Carolina.
This car has only been driven 50,000 miles over the last 28 years and has only had two owners. This particular car has the Gold Emblem Package, which means several of the crest and model identifications on the exterior are plated in gold rather than chrome. This car is finished in a burgundy color with the contrasting silver accents under the side molding. It also has the standard aluminum alloy wheels attached to new tires with less than 200 miles. There are a few blemishes on the car but is described as an amazing Sunday driver.
The interior is described as immaculate. Normally the lower the mileage the better the condition of the interior unless it has been exposed to the sun all the time. The tan leather seats do not have any tears or wear of significance. The carpeting and dash are in good condition.
There are no pictures of the engine, which is the standard 4.9 liter (300 cubic inch) V8. As you can see above, the mileage is currently 48,649 miles. This Cadillac has new brakes, including calipers, rotors, and brake lines, as well as having recently received a fresh oil change. This could be a good daily or Sunday driver, or a car to show and cruise. The seller is asking $2,500. It’s not every day you can find a car in this condition with such low mileage for such a low price. How would you like to own this Cadillac?
This is a really nice car for the money, it’s a beauty. Should be gone soon.
This is a well cared for car for the money and it’s located only 10-15 miles from me.This one won’t last long.
Ah, the darling of the blue-rinse brigade! Gold pkg and all. These were great over-the-road drivers, with plenty of room & creature comforts. BUT….they suffered from a particular malady that was expensive to fix: A soft camshaft and bad lifters that made these horrible oil-burners!! If this one hasn’t had the repair yet (A cold beer says it hasn’t.) your $2500. purchase price more than doubled.
After reading your post, my enthusiasm for this car just tanked. It sure looks nice, though.
Yes, his story makes him sound like true “expert”…….if you can’t tell, I’m rolling my eyes……
If a sentence from a stranger was enough to dissuade you, you weren’t serious to begin with.
The 4.9’s are great engines by the way……
These were great rental cars when they were new.
Kenneth, this is the car that your sister needs.
Yeah Kenneth you could bus up on a Greyhound coach and cruise back home to Florida in style.
lovely is all i have to say
Very clean, kind of a deal at that money. I remember my friends dad had one of these in white with the tan interior, same wheels, with the Cadillac “Gold Keys”, we used to love to take out when he was out of town.
I remember the BONG BONG BONG BONG chime these used to have for everything.
Grandpa had one and as someone wrote the engine had expensive problems. He wouldn’t buy a Lincoln so he went to a Jaguar which had tons of electrical problems. Then a Rover 3500. He was a WW2 Veteran and would not look at a Mercedes or BMW, at here we’re no big luxury cars from Toyota at that time. He was angry at GM and sold his stock for computer technology.
This is actually a good deal. If I had room for it, I would turn into a flipper.
I’m really surprised to hear that these had any engine ptoblems….I know that the Northstar engines were junk….owned a 96 with a Northstar and got rid of it 3 months after purchasing it, however, I owned 2 ’93 DeVille’s with the 4.9 liter and drove both over 250,000 miles – those engines seemed indestructible !!
Gone in a flash!
