It may be a little late, but Josh and I wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas! Hopefully you woke up this morning and found something very special in your barn. Even if you didn’t, we will be back on the hunt tomorrow, so you may still be able to get the gift that Santa forgot. Thanks guys for making this a great place to be!

Ha! Love that pic, reminds me of when my 1963 Galaxie blew a gasket and we did the same thing till the part arrived in February.

Wow! Look at that 1980’s Ford Country Squire wagon in the background! I haven’t seen one of those in years! It’s the rare woodgrain delete model too, so it might have been a police special service model.

Yup! What’s amazing to me is just how basic these cars could be back then. Today a vehicle of that size would have every electric toy as standard and be fitted with leather seats, alloy wheels, etc. Back then, you could get it in a spec that not even the cheapest Hyundai can be ordered in today. Even in terms of horsepower, it had roughly the same output as a 1.6 liter Accent does today (138hp base Accent vs 140-150 hp Ford 302 V8). I’d like to think that if I were ever to reproduce I would have something like that wagon as my family car, if for no other reason that to be ale to live the Clark W. Griswold fantasy. I wonder if I could find one in pea soup green…
