Some classics seem to possess the ability to tick virtually every right box for potential buyers. Such would appear to be the case with this 1993 Ford F-150 XLT 4×4. It presents extremely well for a vehicle of this type and age, it has room to seat five, the first owner equipped it with some excellent factory options, and it has a genuine 34,000 miles on the clock. So far, so good. However, the ace up its sleeve could be the seller’s decision to list this F-150 with No Reserve. If you are already sorely tempted, that might be the final piece of this puzzle. You will find the Ford here on eBay in White Marsh, Maryland. Frantic bidding has pushed the price to $10,100, with a new home guaranteed to be only a few days away for this gentle giant.

The word “iconic” is one of the most overused in the classic world, but there are few better to describe Ford’s F-Series model range. It first appeared in the early post-war years and has remained a continual presence for over seven decades. There is no evidence that the company will discontinue these vehicles, even in the face of electrification. Ford released the Ninth Generation in 1992, with our feature F-150 XLT leaving the line the following year. Its first owner ordered it in a two-tone Mocha Metallic combination that oozes class. This beauty isn’t pristine, because close inspection of the seller’s excellent image gallery reveals a few minor imperfections. However, considering the lives that many of these 4×4 Pickups lead, the condition remains mighty impressive. The paint shines nicely, there is no patchiness, and the trim sparkles as impressively as the paint. The plastic bed liner and color-matched cap are excellent additions that provide protection and security, with the aluminum wheels and crystal clear tinted glass rounding out an exterior that is bound to turn heads.

In 1993, manufacturers like Ford were beginning to get their heads around the art of squeezing additional power from engines that had been strangled during The Malaise Era. This F-150 features a fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8 delivering 185hp and 270 ft/lbs of torque. This motor would remain a staple of the Ninth Generation F-Series during its entire production run, with Ford eventually squeezing 205hp and 275 ft/lbs from the V8. Power for this F-150 feeds to the road via a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, making this the ideal weapon for tackling rough, loose, or icy surfaces. This is where things become more challenging, because the seller is sparing with their information. They don’t mention verifying evidence for their mileage claim, nor how well this beauty runs or drives. The overall presentation seems to support the listed mileage, and I can’t spot anything suggesting the Pickup’s mechanical health will be anything but good.

I guess that if you are going to lead a life of adventure, there’s nothing wrong with being comfortable as the world unfolds before you. Therefore, many readers will welcome the news that this F-150 is equipped with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power front seats, cruise control, and an AM/FM radio/cassette player. There is room in the back to seat three, and the photos seem to suggest that the rear seat has seen little action. The Beige cloth and vinyl upholstered surfaces are free from significant wear, and the carpet looks remarkable for an unrestored survivor of this type and age. There is no UV damage, and no evidence of aftermarket additions.

I’m sure that we will have plenty of readers who will look at this 1993 Ford F-150 XLT and be tempted by what they see. The listing statistics prove that they won’t be alone, with forty-four bids submitted at the time of writing. The Watch List tally of sixty-six suggests that the already impressive action could intensify as the auction heads to its conclusion. There is still plenty of warm weather available for off-road adventures, and this Ford could also serve perfectly for those considering winter skiing vacations. Are those thoughts and the No Reserve factor enough to tempt you? I will understand if it is.

Swear we saw one just like this fairly recently. 🤔 💁♂️
Is this really 4wd? I don’t see the shift lever on the floor, and looking at the hubs they don’t appear to be manual. Did Ford have a push button on the fly 4wd in ’93? I didn’t think so but could certainly be wrong.
The front differential is visible in the first couple of pics.
You can spot the hubs on the 1st pic Mike. They’re Fords Automatic locking hubs. A much inferior and problematic application compared to the simpler, more robust, and economical manual hub.
My ’88 4×4 F150 has over 134K on it. My mom gave it to me after Dad died. No problem whatsoever with the autolocking hubs.
Ditto on the gas mileage. I also have the 302; it is a regular cab and gets about 14-16 MPG.
Beautiful truck… Be aware of dealer’s $799 fee!!! Wow, that’s robbery in fees.
C’mon, that low mileage and only one photo on Ebay? Doesn’t appear to be 4WD either. Something seems fishy about this one!
Milage 38,410 in November 2000, milage 33,410 in March 2025 must have driven in reverse for 25 years. Do people not look at the reports.
This dealer’s vehicles have been in BF before. They certainly have some top notch trucks. I wonder where they find them. White Marsh MD is not that far away for me. I’m not looking for a pick up truck presently but if I were I would be heading there now. The 4×4 control consists of push buttons on the dash. The processing fee might be high but very few dealers offer no reserve auctions. Someone is going to get a really nice truck that can do everything that a new one can for less than a third of what a late model truck would cost. GLWTS
Nice truck. Dual fuel tanks, you will need them.
