There has only been one owner of this 1987 Buick Grand National. The car has reportedly only traveled 30,354 miles since new. It is listed for sale here on eBay with a current bid of $30,100. There is less than 24 hours remaining in the auction so check this car out if you have been looking for a clean, unmolested Grand National. The car is located in Canoga Park, California.
The eBay ad for this car states that the car has not been modified and it has been carefully stored since its purchase. The original owner was a non smoker and the interior looks pristine. We hear a lot about survivor cars. Well, this is a low mileage survivor with a rust free body and the car has not been in any accidents. The seller states that the paint and body are 100% original. The car was purchased in New York and driven for the first 12 years of its life before it was parked and put under a car cover. The car is loaded with many options including air conditioning, cruise control, power locks, power windows and power driver seat.
Buick powered the 1987 Grand National with a turbocharged and intercooled 3.8 liter V6 engine that was fuel injected. It was factory rated at 245 horsepower in 1987 and had 355 lb ft of torque. The seller acquired the car last year and was able tot get the car running after replacing the fuel pump, fuel tank and battery. The car still has its original spark plugs and has a few vacuum leaks. I owned a 1987 T-Type and it had a leaky vacuum line to the waste gate. The first time I stomped on it, it cut the rear tires loose going down the highway. I am surprised I didn’t blow the engine.
The seller states that the original owner removed the front and rear spoiler, the dome light and headlight and tail lights to keep them from deteriorating during storage. Some of these items have not been reinstalled yet. The seat belt lockers were also removed. The paint is faded and has some dings and dents. The seller states that all the gauges and amenities work fine. The car runs great and the even the original tires are included with the sale.
Well, two-owner technically.
I’m tired of seeing flippers claiming one owner status.
Whats up w the left front bumper area ?
Are you talking about the filler panels between the fenders, quarters ,trunk, grill and bumpers? Those dry out,, crack and fall off. They all need to be replaced, common issue for the time frame. Monte Carlo, Grand Prix and Cutlass models also have the same problem.
