Pick A Porsche 914!

Porsche 914s

It’s almost like you’ve traveled back in time to the ’70s and are shopping for a 914. You even have your choice of colors including, red, gray, yellow or white. Porsche 914’s are fun, nimble little cars and they are appreciating, especially the nicer original ones. Many of the surviving 914s have been modified for autocross and other racing fun. These six appear to be completely stock, making them rather rare. They are really more Volkswagen than Porsche, but the mid engine layout made them drive like a go-cart. Beginning in 1973, they had the 2 liter, 100 horsepower Type 4 fuel injected engine that was also used in the 912E. The 914-6 was the highest power option, but it was still only 110 horses. It didn’t take much to make the 2 liter 4 cylinder as fast as the 6. The suspension if fully independent, a rare thing in their day, and along with the antiroll bars make them handle very well even in stock form! Here you have your choice of six, including one still in storage with only 8k miles on it for $4,500. If you can’t make up your mind, you can have them all for $27,000. They are for sale here on craigslist in Dallas, Texas.

Funny that the seller includes a request not to mess with his time. Yet he is offering a package deal that is only $50 less than the total sum of all cars. The asking prices are high, especially on cars with no titles and rust (he specifically identifies cars with NO RUST). I’m not saying that there is no deal to have here but…tread with care.

you could have all 6 of these for much less then the 914/6 i sent in. 914’s ran SCCA CS in autocrosses same as early miata’s and seemed to be hold their own. they did get DQed from time to time for removing some of the rubber bump stop. great find along with some of the vehicles in the background.

Whenever a seller say, “don t mess with my time,” I listen. Because those people aren’t worth the time to deal with.

I’d rather have the Olds wagon sitting behind it.
