Pint-Sized “Barn Finds”

Corvette

Some of us may not have the space for a full sized “Barn Find”. If you fit in that category, or you wish to have one on a shelf in your house or office, we think we can be of help. Many of us were and/or are model makers and some of us also have made dioramas. Today we have some examples that are listed for sale and other artists that can be contacted to produce a masterpiece for you shelf!

Mr. Darryl Raper created the Corvette pictured at the top of the page and the images above are just some of his master works here. He has some racing history and many fine examples of his works on his site. You must contact him to see if he is interested in producing a diorama for you. He has crafted some really amazing stuff, so be sure to check out his site.

I built models, then set fire to them and crashed them together, still flaming. I was a HORRIBLE kid. A lot of skilled work by very patient people in these

1/25 scale, using the Revell/Monogram ’48 Ford kit.

@Toast54: I did the same thing. I was definitely a car guy, but I was a pyromaniac as well, and I often lit my models or HO scale racetrack cars and trains on fire, often fueled by lighter fluid, and twice the fire got away from me and I actually set my parents house on fire on both occasions. One was extinguished quite easily with damage limited to a bedroom. The second fire got going pretty well, and it took the fire department more than an hour to extinguish the flames, with considerable damage. There were only two occasions when the house actually ignited, but there were literally ten or twenty other times that I was lighting fires inside the house that could have gotten out of control. Fortunately, I grew out of this destructive phase.
