This 1980 Porsche 924 Martini Turbo is equipped with the rare M471-S package. The car has only had 2 owners and its odometer reads 62k miles. The package included 5-bolt hubs, 4-wheel disc brakes, 16” premium wheels, Koni sport shocks, Euro Turbo 23/14mm sway bars, and a turbo rear spoiler. It’s said that only 100 of these cars were made in 1980. This example is listed on craigslist for $16,800 in Mattituck, New York. Thanks to T.J. for the tip!
The 924’s exterior is finished in an ’80s Martini livery and is in great condition. The seller notes that there is no rust present. All Porsche models that deviate from the 911’s classic look are exciting to see. This one is absolutely a head-turner and its next owner will undoubtedly enjoy looking at it in their garage.
The car’s interior is finished in black leather throughout and is in good condition. It appears that some age-related damage is present on the driver’s seat and its likely some other minor damage has occurred elsewhere in the cabin. It has a clean understated interior that was designed to be purposeful but not overly luxurious.
A 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine sends power to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller notes that the car has had a fuel system rebuild and is accompanied by two keys, its original service manual, and its original owner’s manual. This car is both rare and well-kept. It needs basically no work and is said to be incredibly fun to drive. The car’s 0 to 60 is only 6.8 seconds which is wildly quick for an ’80s sports car. The next owner will likely drive and enjoy it on the back roads or bring it to shows with little fear of breakdowns or issues. If you want to own this 2-owner, 62k mile, 1980 Porsche 924 Martini Turbo M471-S contact the seller on craigslist before it’s gone.
Said it before, will say it again. One of the best looking, best driving cars out there. nice example here.
Agreed. On my “relatively affordable” list.
I know it has Martini “lineage”, it’s just too bad it’s not red.
If there isn’t an “Upstair at Eric’s” by Yaz in the cassette player, then there is no poetry in this world.
Awesome car. So well kept.
I feel like this isn’t a factory Martini edition. I’ve never seen one that isn’t white, and it doesn’t have the signature interior, which I’m sure would have been part of the package. I think this is a silver 924 with Martini Racing stripes added.

I have had a LOT of experience with these cars (I still own one). I would say that the upside is rather well covered in the article however there are a plethora of downsides that a potential owner should be aware of. The biggest bugaboo is the fact that the entire car is made up of NLA parts,
The last time that someone turboed my martini, I had a hangover for two days.
I like the graphic on the cigarette lighter showing an old school Zippo.
924.org says no silver Martinis…
I had two customers that had these and they were both white.
Back in their day the 924’s were the ‘Poor mans 944’. Today the 944’s, while being fun drivers, haven’t reached big numbers and the nice 924s are catching up!!
I owned a 1987 Porsche 924S, with the 944 drivetrain. Absolutely a fun car to drive. This is a highly desired vehicle. Unfortunately putting miles on it will diminish the value-but what the heck, drive it, drive it, drive it.
This is a rare and collectable 924 and well worth the ask in my opinion as long as it doesn’t get bid up much more.
