This particular truck was special ordered -(see factory hand written order sheet)- with the 115 inch wheel base , short bed, 318/2bbl with factory 4-speed “wide ratio” transmission. Also extremely rare that it is fitted with bucket seats and a console , owner had to add carpet to get the buckets on a work truck .

Body Condition: There is zero rot on the truck, The floors on the truck are solid zero holes, the frame as well. Just visible is a little surface rust nothing through the metal. If you pull back the carpet you see perfect metal floors. Had Rusty Jones rust proofing added when purchased new. The front grill on the truck is perfect as well as the tailgate, only physical damage visible would be the driver side mirror is has 1 crack going through it and the passenger mirror mount is slightly bent. The door jams still have chalk marks as well as under the hood of the truck. It still has the factory stickers on the valve cover, brake booster, the ram sticker under the power wagon emblems, buffalo grove dodge dealer sticker on the tailgate. Every single light on this truck is functioning interior and exterior. Roof lights, head lights, lights on the plow, tail lights, license plate lights, cargo light, dash lights. The interior is clean with zero rips on the seats. Door panels are in great condition with just a slight amount of wear on the driver side. Tires are only a couple years old but have very little miles on them.

Mechanical Condition: Truck is solid, right and runs like a non abused low mileage original should. No issues starting the truck. The clutch is tight with no slippage. Power brakes on truck with lots of life left on them.

A good plow truck in the rust belt is supposed to be horribly rusty but very trusty. I hope this Dodge never gets exposed to salt because that would be a shame.

With the factory plow set up you you got a larger radiator and tramsmission cooler. Unstopable in the snow

That is a remarkable plow truck being almost 40 years old. There is a bunch of rust, though, just waiting to pop through. Just look at the rear fender well and that door bottom. If you drive it in the rain, it’ll come right out.

Not the first year for declutchable hubs, they were there in the seventies and maybe earlier, my ’74 had them. Those buckets are from early eighties vans, I have the same ones in my ’79 B100. They out of an ’83. Buckets like in the Lil Red were first available in the early seventies on special order.

I heard that it was possibly the first year WARN hubs got in the game with DODGE? Not sure though

    You do have a point.

Anyone else would have taken the plow off before attempting sale.

Power Wagons are pretty tough though and it looks like this one has lead an easy life.

This is a snow commander a factory snow plow truck and is sold as is. Takin off the plow would be nothing short of a lie.

Yep…the mileage certificate actually means very little, just as carfax…both are owner written with no true proof for mileage or in the case of carfax being
accident free… Looking at the condition of the engine components I would be more inclined to say this odometer is on it’s second spin…I could be wrong but unless it belonged to myself or a neighbor I would be leery…

‘Little’ surface rust is a gauge of how much frame rust there is.
      little rust = a lot
No rust = plenty of rust (we just don’t see it)

I do not care if its a factory order plow truck. If I had the money to buy it then that plow is coming off
