To commemorate the end of C3 Corvette production, Chevrolet released a special Collector’s Edition. These cars came equipped with unique wheels, hatchback-style rear glass, silver beige paint and a slightly different VIN to denote that they were special edition cars. This one is said to be a 65k mile Corvette that has already had all the needed service and upgrades to make it a comfortable daily driver. If you’ve been on the hunt for one of the last C3s, this one seems like a great find! Be sure to take a look at Rick’s ad via the link below.

List your classified here on Barn Finds!
The Corvette you wanna get is the 1983….just kidding! I just wanted to see if anyone was paying attention….
You’d have to swipe it from the NCM in Bowling Green. :-)
Thank God it didn’t fall in the sinkhole!
Some 83s were restamped 84s other than the keeper in the museum.
It’s a nice museum and town with big red and WKU but disappointed museum didn’t try
to get the VH1 vette collection that went up a lil while back even though most needed restoration 🙄. Since they have some but not every year and people loan them to the museum.
I think now they are loaned in glass containers with bubble wrap and fifty foot flats underneath to avoid mamouth cave extensions feedings.
It sure seems barnfinds is running out of barns….. look at all the glitter just on the front page:
this vette
aspen
vega
59 tbird
77 firebird
911 slantnose
these look excellent to better condition and far from a ” barn”
Don’t forget the Pontiac Firebird 301 V8 Powered 1977 Pontiac Ventura
That may be the best reply ever
301 Ventura dude …points
Just was wondering if the focus of this site shifting –
Moderators care to chime in on this one ?
we used to be able to anonymously submit suggestions of real barn finds,
where did that tab go …
Well, these are reader classifieds, not necessarily your typical ‘barn find’. I suspect ads like this (mine) help pay to keep the site active.
You can still submit your finds Jeepster! Here’s the link: https://barnfinds.com/tips/
Oh, and Rick is right on.
Well when Jeepster when was the last time you found a true “Barn Find”. I live in SE Missouri and barns are everywhere, but not every barn has a find in it. I have found cars sitting in barns, on the back forty, sitting under car ports, I even found one sitting in a basement. I guess we could talk Jesse into calling in “Barn & Everywhere Else Finds.”
Thanks Jesse, I never knew about that “tips” page. I don’t think you mention it anywhere on the website.
The only thing I could ever find was a link to an email address that could be used to submit tips. I’ve done that several times and nothing has ever been accepted.
Owner has 10k invested and is obviously upside down. No other way to end up on these. I was a fan of the fade stripe and this seems like fun hobby car for the money. No engine or underbody shots in the add unfortunately. Local buyers will have the most attraction I would suspect as these just never get much love.
Underbody to be added later this week when I get a chance to put it on the lift at the mechanics shop. If anyone wants or needs specific photos, please let me know.
Completely false statement. This car has never run hot – ever. It’s probably one of the more reliable fuel injected cars I’ve owned. Unless you have personally had a cross-fire engine, save the armchair quarterbacking and regurgitation of “what you’ve heard”.
It’s amazing how readers will pick apart and disseminate “information” that they’ve “heard happens” without any sort of proof. Sellers like myself are trying to sell a vehicle – we don’t need negative input from anyone that could potentially kill a sale. Constructive criticism is fine (would be nice to have polished the wheels or something like that), but negative comments hurt sales.
Rick, don’t get your panties in a bunch. I visit this site just to read the humorous reviews and these guys always deliver. It’s all in good fun and if your vehicle is everything you hoped it would be, you have nothing to worry about.
Marty, my comments were directed to a poster whose post is no longer here, or at least not visible from my computer. He was espousing his opinion on how terrible the engines in these cars are/were and how hot they ran. While I’m all for humorous content, talking about non-existent issues can have issues for sellers. Moderators, if you feel the need, please remove my last few posts.
Nice car. I sold my ’70 C3 convertible after almost 30 years of ownership a few years back. I always thought that I would want something different, but my mind goes back to the later years C3.
According to Corvette DNA app, your pricing is spot on. Having sold my Vette rather easily and at the price I wanted using Craig’s List, I would suggest that you add a lot more photos and expand the description. Also, I’ve found that with Craig’s List, removing your phone number eliminates a lot of wasted time from the yuck yucks and every person wanting to help sell your car for you.
GLWS.
Thank you for that response. I will add some more photos later this week of the undercarriage and closer shots of the interior. I’m not sure what more I can do for the description – add too much and you bore the person. Have not enough and questions are raised. So far I’ve had absolutely no response to the ad.. and nobody wanting to sell the car for me!
Updated description and chassis photos in ad.
Ad (& car) looks great!
