Plus many sell before we can get to them. Instead, we are going to release a summary each day of the best reader finds submitted in the past 24 hours or so. I can certainly understand about not having the ability to feature everything that’s sent to you, but since you’re giving credit to the finders for each car, how about the letters in red be a link to wherever that car is being sold? For instance, I’d love to find out more about the 66 Mustang.

No different than what will happen when snow quits flying on a constant basis here in Mansfield, OH. There is a 1951 Packard 200 sitting at a car repair shop that was a barn find with a 1970 plate on it. It’s the one I mentioned back during the discussion of the Roswell, NM salvage yard post several weeks ago. Can’t wait to be able to do this, as I’ll also send a small wriye-up to accompany the photos.

i like this idea. clicking on each find takes you to the listing. we get to see what the other readers find interesting. this is going to be even more fun. thanks

I’m going with the 55 Imperial
Yeah the Imp is very cool, but for me, it’s the TR all the way.
Yeah, the Hemi Imperial is eminently restorable and would definitely turn heads.
Great idea…keep it going! Although I am not in the market, it is fun to see what is out there to be saved.

I’d love to have that Willys Jeep pickup as a shop truck. I’d ditch the original flathead six and put in something easier to work on, like a Nissan KA24DE 4 cylinder from a D22 Frontier, complete with OBD II EFI. I’d also keep the Nissan’s 134a A/C compressor and condenser and link it to an old aftermarket under dash unit so that I didn’t have to cut the original dash for A/C. I would then change the front axle to a later one from a Jeep, Toyota or whatever would fit with front disc brakes and make certain it matched the axle ratio of the rear.
Looks like everyone likes this new feature, so we will stick with it for a while and see how it goes. Please keep sending in your finds guys!
As far as the the cars mentioned above, I would go with the Tatra… Strange choice, I know. It might be your best chance of getting invited to Pebble Beach this year though! They just announced a special Tatra class and I doubt there can be many of these still around. The seller claims that there are only 4 still in existence and only one in the States.
I liked that one too. I had to wonder though if it was designed with the input of Hans Ledwinka and Paul Jaray like the later rear engined cars were. It’s certainly a funky design and an important car that deserves a proper restoration.
