Are you ready to start working on a Charger? Listed here on craigslist is a 1971 Dodge Charger for $2K OBO. The seller is also willing to trade for a running GM muscle car or a GM truck.
It has been reported that over 46,000 Chargers were produced in 1971. We have posted the only two images provided with the ad. The seller states the condition of the car is “fair” and the paint is “custom”. The car needs, as per the seller, an engine, transmission, windshield, wiring harness and some body work. Without other images it is hard to tell what the car might be worth. If you wish to see an image of the “custom” paint, interior, what body work needs to be done and/or the underside of the car please contact the seller. Is this the “canvas” you’ve been waiting for?

One thing I can speak from experience once owning a ’74-you can’t imagine how many bolts hold those fenders on, & several of them very hard to find.
I wish the seller luck finding someone to trade a running car worth 2K that they will trade for his pile of metal, maybe a Yugo.

Does it look as though it may have suffered an engine fire or could all that be from torching a hole in the hood? If the body and undercarriage are in good shape that may not be a bad price. Looking around on the interwebs, a full harness is about $575. I’ve seen worse go for more.

Way more than 2k in parts there. If it had the right VIN could be valuable, but the lack of a bulge hood might indicate this was not a hi-po car.

Yep.. Engine fire.. Seen a lot of them.. Seller wants to get the junk out of his garage and maybe get a driver in return..
