Reader Ikey H sends in tons of great online finds every day, huge thanks to him for that! Well, today, he sent us a find that he didn’t spot online, rather one he saw along the side of the road. This 1969 Cadillac DeVille Convertible was just sitting outside with the seller’s information and price, so he thought he better stop and take a look! Since it’s a roadside find, he doesn’t know anything about it beyond that, but it looks like it could be a sweet find. It’s located in Conifer, Colorado with an $8,000 asking price.
While we don’t get a look at the engine, interior, or underside, this Cadillac looks good from the outside. The tires look to be old, so perhaps this one is a survivor? The paint sure looks great, although I do see some dust on it. If you decided to make the seller an offer, let us know what the full story is with this Caddy! Special thanks to Ikey for the tip. If you’ve seen something interesting parked along the side of the road, snap a few photos and send them our way via email.
Summer’s comin’! If I’m not mistaken, this is a 385 hp car. Sure, it weighs a ton but….385 horses will pull that parade float. I have a 72 Coupe de Ville, and I didn’t buy it to go fast. But it goes as fast as I need it to and then some, and will pull a Redwood tree outta the ground. These are fun and fine.
Cool find!! I guess I should ride around with Ikey H!!!!
Big ‘ol hefty LAND YACHT!
That’s what I’m talkin’ about.
Wish i had more photo’s of it. I love these old Cadillac’s. This is where i started being a Tech on them. These Cadillac’s barley broke down. Maybe a Timing chain at 200-300K Miles, Points every 30K, Plugs too. These motors were good for 600K for a Overhaul. Keep that oil changed it will go a long way. Always start-up in any temp’s. Love these cars. i’m looking for a Limo 69-76 with a divider window. I have a 90′ Brougham, White /Red leather with 75K on the O.D. I’ll trade, this car is mint cond. No leaks anywhere. Everything i replaced is GM only.
My first Cadillac was a 69 Coupe. I have always wanted a 69 Convertible. Here is my chance for a reasonable price.
I had one. A 1969, Gold with Tan Interior. Bought it right off the street and drove it for years, loved it, enjoyed it, buy it. You won’t be disappointed.
Back when you saw a luxury car and knew it was a luxury car at first glance!
My dad had a 69 convertible when I was in high school (late ’70s). Was a popular choice for homecoming parades, and loading 8 or 10 friends for high school antics. However…. the real fun came when racing my friend in his Mom’s white Coupe de Ville on Forest Lawn Drive between the 134 and Barham (before Warner Bros expanded it was pretty desolate). Huge land yachts squeeling around those corners, no cops, and all the naivete of being 16 in our parents’ cars. Ah, youth.
I know I told the story before, but my old boss passed away & left me a 1969 DeVille convertible. His was white with white top & red interior. Rust free, from California. What a looker! I sold it to pay some bills, but I really do miss the car…and the boss/friend.
If it’s as nice as it looks and with no or minor repairs needed this is as good as it gets for less than $10K. I would love to have it if I had the room.
Hello everyone, I learned yesterday that someone posted this car (thank you so much Josh), I am the one selling it for my client and it is included in the estate sale I am doing for the family. It is a 1969 Deville with 120,000 miles. It has been parked in
his garage/barn for thirty years.
Is it still available?
Hello RJ, sorry to disappoint but the car is sold. I didn’t realize the picture was still showing. Someone posted it after seeing it in my yard and I don’t know how to remove it. Sent email to Barn Finds (wonderful site!) yesterday on what to do to remove.
