Thanks to reader George G. for sending us this Triumphant find (sorry, I couldn’t resist)! These six Triumph TR6s, ranging from 1970 t0 1975, have been stored in Las Cruces, New Mexico and are listed for sale here on craigslist, along with a plethora of Triumph parts. No price is listed at this point–you’ll have to call and find out.

d4

Between the four cars in these pictures and the huge amount of spares, it looks like you could actually build a fleet of these British sports cars. All but one look to have only a minimal amount of rust, but as with any Triumph, a good luck underside is in order.

d5

There are piles of parts that come along with the cars. Simply piles!

d6

Piles and piles! There are four new old stock fenders in the mix as well.

d7

Not only are there engines in the cars (with pictures throughout the ad), there are multiple engine components including blocks, crankshafts and cylinder heads that are pictured as well. There are also engines and transmissions for other Triumphs. This is a real find! Has one of these TR6s found your heart, like my two have? Or do you want to go into the TR6 business? Let us know your thoughts!

Heck, the Stag’s V8 would just have to find it’s way into the engine bay of one of these if a buyer had any real sense of adventure.

Alan, you _do_ realize the Stag’s V8 was basically two Dolomite engines welded together, don’t you? If it were mine, I’d put the Rover engine (built under license from Buick) in there. Much better bet.

You do realise that the Stag engine came first and that the Dolomite engine was a development from it don’t you ?

“A number of iterations of this design went into production, notably a slant four-cylinder engine used in the later Triumph Dolomite and Triumph TR7, The Stag’s V8 was the first of these engines into production. Sometimes described as two four-cylinder engines Siamesed together, it is more correct to say that the later four-cylinder versions were half a Stag engine (the left half).

If only I were 20 years younger and had 20 years with nothing else to do…

I have no idea if there’s enough space, but SBC comes to mind for an engine swap. Heck, with 6 cars you could do 6 different things, though some might become quite grotesque (TR6 stretch limo, 4-wheeler mudder, rat rod – sorry, I just couldn’t stop…).

Cool find, but almost too overwhelming to contemplate with the remotest sense of reality.

That last sentence makes me wince, because it’s eerily similar to my shop. Change is in the wind, however.

RESTORE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!

They do not make them anymore – and no….do not put anything but original parts and ruin them.

    I cannot stomach that!!!

    Good luck to the buyer(s).

I take it you were a downvote. Can’t say that I disagree with you at all.
