Stored For 20: 1975 Triumph TR6

1975 Triumph TR6

When Barn Finds reader Greg C. emailed us a link to this TR6, he mentioned that it looked interesting. Well, I have to agree! The car was purchased by the current owner all the way back in 1979. They claim to have never driven it in the winter and that it has been in storage for the last 20+ years. They haven’t tried to start it, but as long as the the engine isn’t seized, I don’t see any reason why it couldn’t be made to run again. There is a little rust here and there, but nothing major for a Michigan car. It has 70k miles on the clock and doesn’t look too bad in the photos found here on craigslist. The seller doesn’t include a price in their listing though, so either they want a lot or they don’t know what it’s worth. Either way, I hope they get that moisture-holding blue tarp off it! Thanks for the tip Greg.

Looks like fun. After some refreshing, I’d be driving it!

Would love to have this TR6 or the ’75 TR6 featured yesterday… have owned my ’75 Spitfire for 23 years now, and almost wish I would have put all that time, energy and sweat equity into a TR6. Yet I can never part with the Spit! This TR6 would be a blast to enjoy just about as-is.

Charcoal makes a decent “keep fresh ” material.

Well, it acts as a desiccant, absorbing moisture…

Which he’ll need, if he keeps using that moisture-retaining tarp!
