Stunning 1968 Shelby GT350!

Bidding is currently at $56,100 for this 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, and I’m not to see the reserve unmet. It’s a pretty special car, with the preferred manual transmission and just one repaint in its lifetime that appears to be holding up quite well. The seller cites the high levels of originality throughout, which extends to the drivetrain and body panels, and the mileage shows (pleasingly) that this car was used, with 124K on the clock. Find the Shelby here on eBay and located in Geneva, Florida.

I have to take a minute and point out the barn the Mustang is parked in and in front of in the pictures. Seriously, this is some “life goals”-grade stuff here, as you’ll on the eBay listing there’s a proper bar inside the barn and all sorts of other eye-candy. Well done, seller. Anyway, back to the car: look at that profile. And for a paint job done in the 70s, this Shelby is holding up incredibly well.

The interior is equally stunning, with tan seating surfaces and floor mats, wood grain dash, and beautiful door cars and carpets. Of course, you have to love seeing the manual gearbox here, as it’s not uncommon to find Shelbys equipped with the automatic. The dash appears to be uncracked and the armrest and console sections look as clean as the rest of the car. This thing was clearly loved.

Under hood, the seller notes that the drivetrain exhibits excellent oil pressure with no smokes or leaks noted. Sadly, the seller also mentions the words Eleanor Shelby in the listing, which I hope never happens to an example as pure and original as this one. Bidding is certain to go higher, as it should for a survivor that exhibits very few flaws in the pictures. However, I’d rather put the cash towards re-creating the barn.

Sorry, having a bar in a barn is not a “life goal”. Nice car though.

I compliment the honesty on the mileage. This IS ONE that you could have said it only has 24K on it and might be believable. Again, I appreciate the honesty.

Love the green. White stripes are nice but you tie in the Tan interior with what gray/black interior trim in combo with the green & white and it starts to get a little weird…..but that’s just me.

    LOVE the 4 speed !!

Should be around 250 horsepower, not 350 .More power to me is fine but for a car like this that needs to be as close to original the 302 should be more stock 🙈🙉🙊

On the outside it looks all business decked out in green with white racing stripes. I agree with the above comment, the mostly tan interior throws me off, just seems out of character here for me anyways.
Aluminum intake manifold and headers along with what looks like a Flowmaster exhaust should help in the fun factor, wonder what else is hidden in the 302. Really nice car here.

I would think because this is a Shelby that it would be worth a LOT more money if it had correct factory floor mats & correct repro exhaust system on – with sideways muffler by the gas tank.
& new door panels, tho they might not match the rear side panels exactly, especially if made overseas & with modern dyes.
& a pristine uncovered steering wheel – was that the only steering wheel offered by Ford for ’68 for this car? Nothing sportier? – even over the counter at/from the dealer?
Odd that few buyers ordered headrests on most cars in the 60’s when they were initially made available as an OPTION.

This is really sad. This car was owned by my best friend Mustang Johnny. He loved this car and also had 5 other mustangs. He went into the hospital to have his pace maker redone and called me on his death bed. He got septic and there was nothing they could do. His brother or brother in law I guess got the cars. I drove this car and it was awesome. R.I.P. Johnny…..

Beautiful car a little high priced for what the Shelby’s are bringing right now in my opinion!! Would love to own it and the interior color is sweet with the Green outside color!!!
